Award of Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman AlKhalifa for Industrial Excellence

President’s Foreward We are proud to present to you the latest edition of Khaleejieh, highlighting the recent achievements of GPIC.

(RoSPA), for the first time. This issue contains comprehensive coverage of this important achievement.

This is all due to the dedication of the company's staff, its core wealth, and for us a source of pride and inspiration.

I would like to reiterate my great appreciation for Bahrain’s wise leadership, which has provided the company and its employees with all support for its success and excellence.

This issue lists many of the company’s outstanding successes during the Holy Month of Ramadan, the most important of which is the annual Family Day celebration that coincides with the Safety, Health and Environment Week. The Holy Month also witnessed several successful sports events in which many employees and their families took part and attended as spectators. In addition, GPIC’s efforts with occupational health and safety issues culminated in it being awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Safety Award, instituted by the Royal Society for Prevention of Accidents

I am also honoured to have received the Order of the Italian President for our role in the development of BahrainiItalian relations. The empowerment of women is also high on our agenda having recently appointing the first ever woman to an executive position in the company as part of our policy of supporting women. The issue includes coverage of many of the company’s activities and programmes in the last few months, and its involvement in professional and community initiatives. I wish you a pleasant time ahead.
