Lorry hits florist Mid afternoon Friday, an uncontrollable grab-lorry smashed into a florist shop on ST Marys Lane. After accelleration to get the caught crain under the bridge, the driver frantically lost control , driving into the florist shop ‘Tubs and Shrubs’. Mirically, the owner of the florist shop left just 10 minutes before to pick up his child from a local school and nobody was injured. The lorry is still stuck within the shop as the building will collapse if it is removed. Construction support is currently being put up in order for the lorry to be removed safely. Journilist Sabjon visited the scene and interviewed owner of neighbouring shop ‘Beagles and Beyond’, just two doors down from the florist. Details of the interview follow. Sabjon: “were you at the scene of the incident” Mr Vitoreo: “no i dont see it, but afterward i saw what happened the lorry was pssing under the bridge” Sabjon: “was it cauht under the bridge?” Mr Vitoreo: “the hook of the lorry was caugt under the bridge and the driver tried to accelerate to release himself from the bridge whilst he was accelerating he lost control and slammed into the shop” Keah: “did it affect you?” Vitoreo: “No but the indian shop next to it is closed because theres a big crack on the wall which is against health and saftey” Sabjon: “was there any injuries?” Mr vitoreo: “no injuries were caused the boss of the flower shop left 15 minutes earlier to pick up his child from school, luckily there was no students walking by at the time other wise there would’ve been more serious injuries. but the driver had a bloody nose possible a broken nose”
