The creative solution for the next unique show It all started with a tiny robot workshop in downtown Aarhus, where electronics and mechanics fused with bare metal into art installations that brought the smiles out at concerts and theatrical events in Denmark. Today Wahlberg Motion Design is a manufacturing company that supplies solutions to the world’s entertainment industry, as ever headed by entrepreneur and inventor Mads Wahlberg. Our specialty is motion design. We build cranes that can raise curtains, lamps and props to hang above fair halls and similar events. We create track systems so that the lights move fast across opera house and theater stages. Our products are resonating around the globe. Canadian rapper Drake has been touring Europe, US and Australia using 788 of our winches in the Boy Meets the World tour; Each of the Wahlberg winches connected to LED – spheres resulting in a spectacular kinetic installation moving above Drake and the audience. The Wahlberg winches have been operating in Houston, Texas, in connection with the official insider events preceding Super Bowl 2017, events where the great football icons and the NFL management get together to watch a show performed by famous stars. Spanish superstar Miguel Bosé toured The Americas and Europe, Giraestaré,
with a special designed series of track runners accommodating the movement of several moving head lamps simultaneously. Also in our portfolio are Jean-Michel Jarre’s Electronica Tour, BMW’s Centenary Celebration and the European Song Contest 2015. Furthermore, we have worked on exciting projects with national talent connected to European Capital of Culture Aarhus 2017, Aarhus Theater, Moesgaard Museum, The National Danish Girl’s choir, the Skanderborg Music Festival and others. We are in daily contact with production companies and lighting designers worldwide, meeting their needs and demands for technical solutions in order to create magic in the tour, show or trade fair coming up. Our entire product range is Made in Denmark, and over the years our brand name has been established internationally, leading to export figures of 92% of our production. The Eurovision Song Contest, finale, Vienna, 2015 A spectacular kinetic sculpture consisting of more than 600 spheres was made possible with the unique winch 1 from Wahlberg Motion Design. The Eurovision finale is one of the biggest live TV-show with viewers from all over the world.

Its exhibitions in the Middle East have included 138,000 participants at one event. The Gitex Technology Week is the ICT business gateway to the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia Region. RENAULT Wahlberg Motion Design delivered 400 Winch 10 cable to the award winning Renault exhibition stand. The winches were mounted and controlled by the company ”New Advanced Technology sarl / Paris-France” following the design of ”RENAULT”. Each winch controlled an LED sphere powered by the lifting cable in the winch. RENUALT ended up using the design worldwide for four years.

Chain Reaction Light sculpture by Studio Stallinga, The Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, 2016 The light sculpture has diameter of 7 meters and revolves slowly during the day controlled by 3 Wahlberg Motion Design Winch 50 motors for exhibition. DMX ROTATOR Use the Rotator virtually anywhere you need simple but precise motorized control of a spinning set piece. The rotator can spin with variable speed, both clockwise and counter clockwise. The motor has a servo – positioning system, with different operation modes. It’s possible to spin continuously with variable speed for some minutes, change direction during spinning, and then, when needed, stop the motor at a certain angle.

DMX ROTATOR WITH POWER OUTLET The rotator with power outlet provides endless opportunities. With the 4 conductors out of the rotating shaft it is possible to control all kinds of electric objects. With a lighting desk you are able to control both the rotator and for instance a moving head via DMX. The Track Runner can hold lamps, scenographic elements and other items and it can move horizontally from point to point controlled from the lighting desk. MINI ROLL DOWN Fast and compact Roll Down system for textiles and such for theater, shows and stage. The Mini Roll Down is a motorized aluminum tube with mounting options for stage curtain or other textiles.
