Explore Bavaria one step at a time! Join the SAC Summer Camp program for 11 weeks full of fun! Camps are on weekly basis and the fees are based on total family income. Limited spaces available and it fills up quickly!

Lego Builders Club May 5 & 21, 3 p.m.

Do you like to build with Legos? And are you between the ages of 8 and 100? You are invited to join our group of enthused Lego Builders here in Hohenfels! Call the Library for more information.

I Love My Mommy Crafts May 6, 2:30-4 p.m.

Show mom how much she means to you- make her a special craft at the Library for Mother’s Day! Make one and take one home to make Mom smile.

Evening Wine Tasting May 8

Come spend the evening relaxing at the cozy Gut Löweneck Café located on the scenic Naab River. We will enjoy sampling a diverse selection of German and Italian wines that will be paired with artisan breads.

BUNCO

May 8, 6:30-9:30 p.m. Win big at our newest monthly game night! We’re playing Bunco, a fast paced dice game. Please, no children allowed. $15 per person.

Summer-Long Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament Starts May 8, 6:30 p.m. - 1 a.m.

Stop by the Zone for a summer-long poker tournament. Based on a point system, accumulate points throughout the summer for a huge prize in August! Small prizes will be given at each tournament.

Parents’ Night Out

May 8, 6:30-10:30 p.m. Sign up deadline May 6 Do you need an evening without the kids? Enjoy a nice, quiet evening or a romantic date with your spouse. Cost is $20 per child. Contact Parent Central Services today!

Berlin May 9

You can’t go wrong with a day in Berlin. The historical center of Germany offers a rich history, quirky shopping, and delicious food. Contact Outdoor Recreation to sign up.

Klettersteig Trip: Hohenglücksteig May 10

Klettersteig combines both hiking and climbing. Rather than climbing up a rock face, Klettersteig involves traversing rock walls on established cables and trails while utilizing a safety harness and lanyard set.

Softball Officials Clinic May 11 - 14, 6 p.m.

We are currently looking for officials of all skill levels to officiate and keep score for our upcoming unit level softball program. Learn about the rules and mechanics of officiating softball. The clinic is free for all participants.

Evening Paddling at the Lake May 20

You will have the chance to paddle sea kayaks, canoes, whitewater kayaks and stand up paddle boards (SUPs). An instructor will introduce you to basic strokes and concepts.


Tandem Skydiving Jump May 22

Have you ever wondered what a bird feels like soaring above the clouds? Experience that same feeling by freefalling for 54 seconds from 14,000 feet above southern Bavaria.

Solvenia Outdoor Weekend May 22-25

We are heading to the outdoor playground of the Soca River Valley, one of the most beautiful places in Europe. You will have the option to get instruction in whitewater kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and rock climbing.

Rainbow Loom Club May 26, 3 p.m.

Do you Loom? Do you want to learn? Come out to the Library’s monthly Rainbow Loom Club and make some cool bracelets and more. Use our looms and supplies or bring your own. Lots of fun for ages 8 and up!

Eclectic Book Club May 26, 5-6 p.m.

Great reads and even better company! Ages 18+ can join us to read a diverse selection of books and discuss them together! Please contact the Library for this month’s title and to confirm the meeting place.

How to Mountain Bike May 27, 5:30 p.m.

Learn the skills that will take you from the sidewalk to the single track, how to handle obstacles, steep hills, drop offs and much more. We will do this bike clinic in the local hills of Hohenfels.

Gamers Night

Wednesdays, 5 p.m. Come out to the Community Activity Center and pit your skills against other skilled opponents in a variety of SciFi board and card games. If you’ve been trying to locate a gaming group to share your interests, you’ve found it!

Penny a Pin Bowling Wednesdays, 5 p.m.

Break open your piggy banks and head down to the Bowling Center! You pay a penny for every pin you knock over. Any game over 200 (guys) or 180 (gals) bowls for free.

Story Time at the Library starts back up on May 21!

Bring your little one to the Library and listen to stories read aloud by our wonderful Library staff. What better way to spend your day, than to be in the imagination of a child and a good book. Lapsit - Wednesdays, 11 a.m. Regular - Thursdays, 10 a.m.

German Learning & Conversation Thursday, 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Want to learn German or practice what you know already? Come and bring a friend! The more, the merrier, and the better the opportunity to practice what you learn! Contact the Library for more information.

Cosmic Bowling

Saturdays, 3-10:30 p.m. We have the lights out and the black lights on! Enjoy R&B music while getting your bowl on!
