Night Fishing

Feel the urge to try some extreme water sports? Take this opportunity to experience wakeboarding, waterskiing and paddle boarding for all levels! Visit a water park with a state-of-the-art cable pulling system that pulls the water sport enthusiast effortlessly over smooth waters. There are two beginner areas, one intermediate area and one expert area. Enjoy a day of fun in the sun! Personal flotation device (PFD), paddleboard and transportation included. Entry ticket not included in price. (40€ Day ticket includes water skis and PFD; additional 19€ for beginner wake board, 24€ for pro wake board, 29€ for feature wake board.) Price: $38/person

Head to the outdoor playground of the Soca River Valley, one of the most beautiful places in Europe, full of beautiful mountains and waterfalls for you to explore. This area is where Ernest Hemingway documented the 1917 Italian retreat from the Battle of Caporetto. Explore historic hikes, WWI monuments and museums, and the old town of Kobarid. The campground is well established with all modern facilities, including a rock climbing wall and high ropes course! White water rafting and canyoning will be offered for an additional cost. Transportation, camping fees, camping gear and equipment included. Registration is limited. Price: $289/person.

Standup paddle boarding is a great way to score some cool points while working on your balance and paddling. Join Wild B.O.A.R. Outdoor Recreation for a fun evening of instructional paddling. Already have the skills? Come spend the evening paddling beautiful Dickhäuter Lake, mastering skills or practicing yoga. Price: $15/person

CONQUER THE ALPSPITZE/ZUGSPITZE IN GARMISCH September 1-4

Looking for an adventurous outdoor getaway? Come to Garmisch, home to Germany’s highest mountain: the Zugspitze. Camp at one of the local campgrounds, climb the Zugspitze’s 2,628 meter-high neighbor the Alpspitze, summit the Zugspitze at 2,962 meters above sea level, and enjoy canyoning in Austria. This is a highly adventurous trip and not one to be missed! Participants must be in good physical shape. Transportation, climbing gear, instruction, camping equipment, lodging and lift ticket included. Registration is limited. Price: $320/person ages 18 and up.

Want to know how the oil pattern affects your score? Come bowl on a different oil pattern every Thursday!

Once the basics and safety steps are mastered, let your imagination wander and shine through your work. In addition to developing self-expression via art, learn this life skill that may be applied anywhere and everywhere.

Thursdays To make Sport Bowling more challenging, the Professional Bowling Association (PBA) uses a variety of different oil patterns for tournaments.

RED PIN & COSMIC BOWLING

Fridays, 6-11 p.m. Red Pins are added to the racks of pins. If the red pin is the head pin, the customer must notify the counter. If you bowl a strike you receive a free game coupon to be used that evening.

COSMIC BOWLING Saturdays We’ll have the lights out and the black lights on! Enjoy the experience of being the DJ, dancing, bowling and relaxing in that night club ambiance every Saturday night!

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Creative welding is the perfect activity for BIG ideas!

August 9 & 23, 1-3 p.m. Interested in taking your journaling to the next level? Learn various tools and techniques to bring your memories to life. Cost: $20/ person (supplies included), $5/returning student.

DO-IT-YOURSELF FRAMING CLASSES

Sundays. 2-6 p.m. We offer free bowling for Children when accompanied by a parent. Starting at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. you can rent a lane for $30 and bowl all you want. Call the Bowling Center for more details.

August 12, 19 & 23, 9 a.m.-noon The walls barren and all photos stashed away? Want to hang all those family portraits and don’t know how? Learn how to build your own frames. After taking this class, you will be a certified ‘Do-It-Yourself’ framer and will have all the endless possibilities in framing. Cost: $45, supplies are included (bring your own content to frame)

August 2, 16 & 30, 6-9 p.m. Ladies, leave your husbands at home or bring them with you. Either way, you're bowling free every other Wednesday this month. Pay for only the shoes.

August 16. 2-5:30 p.m. Learn the basics of color theory, blending, brush strokes, water blending and perspective while painting with oils. Oil paints, canvases and brushes will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own materials as well. Cost: $30 (Supplies included)

CRAFT FAIR

August 19, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Attention all crafters and/or buyers of crafts! Our community crafters will be showing and selling their work! Buy, sell and browse for your favorite handmade items. It's never too late to start your Christmas shopping. Cost: $20/table. Register for your tables by August 16.
