Early Childhood Innovation Hub

With exposed glulam post and beam construction, high ceilings and generous daylighting, this project for a new junior kindergarten school in Maple Ridge featured a complex double-radial grid.

Joining the project following schematic design, I led a small team under the supervision of the project architect through design development and the creation of construction drawings. In addition to drawing all plans, sections, details, and exterior elevations, my responsibilities included optimizing the floor plan from the initial concept model, designing for universal accessibility, and choosing materials and fixtures. Additionally, I reviewed engineering packages, led meetings, and coordinated with consultants to achieve the architectural vision.
