Important Information To Keep You Safe This Winter! We appreciate our residents and want to do what we can to keep you safe. It is important during the winter months that the thermostat in your apartment be left on heat. If you want to lower your heating costs during the winter, do the following to save on your bill: Find a comfortable temperature in your apartment and leave your thermostat set to that all the time. By doing this the heater will not have to run as much. If you are moving out of your apartment or leaving for vacation, do not turn your thermostat to OFF. Leave the thermostat set to the heat mode and lower the temperature to a minimum of 64 degrees. If you move out and the thermostat is turned to off and the pipes freeze, you can be financially responsible for any damage caused. So let’s keep the heat up on all winter and be warm.

This time of year especially, we take time to reflect on all of the amazing things we have to be thankful for, whether it’s our loving families and friends or the warm home we arrive to at the end of a long day. Sometimes it’s important to remember that thankfulness is not only something we feel, but it can be something we do. Give your time. Show someone you are grateful for them or something they have done by giving them your time. Help them with something they are doing or a project they can use an extra hand with. Even taking the time to just stop by and say hello shows others you care. Give compliments. If you are thankful for the way someone has helped you, for example, in a grocery store or restaurant, tell them. A compliment and hearing that someone appreciates what you do can be a great confidence booster, and may be the first nice thing that person has heard that day. Intentionally call someone special. Don’t text or e-mail – call. Tell someone about how much you appreciate who they are and what they have done for you. It can take a few minutes, but make someone’s whole day. Bake something. It’s an inexpensive way to show gratitude toward others. Baking up a plate of cookies or brownies is a nice way to say, “I appreciate what you.” Write a thank you note. Everyone loves receiving mail and a handwritten note shows that what this person has done is important enough to take the time to put it in writing. Don’t let this season go by without telling someone how much you appreciate the time that they take to make your life better.
