CALLPHONE TRAINING HELD AT GRAND TOWERS HOLDINGS PTY SA The team from Callphone just concluded their training conducted by Globatom’s Stefan Hoffmann with Clickmobile partner rep, Jacques Karsten. The training covered an induction for the GP3 PPD WMI system which is the central management system and the Telpo POS, the initial device to be disbursed by Callphone. This was a key step in the roll out process were team members were provided a hands on platform with live simulation of the seamless link between Suppliers to a retailer. It was an excellent opportunity to experience firsthand the backend of what would be involved in the linking and provisioning between the POS devices and the Operators. These solutions were chosen because over and above the functional specification, there is a significant reporting and management module which will ensure integrity of data and processes , every step of the way. Clients can be certain that the solutions ensure that each action a user takes within the system is logged with a log ID in the system assuring premium security. As the roll out process continues, responsibilities will be assigned to ensure good Corporate Governance is adhered alongside set international standards. No measure is being spared as continued training has been arranged and will be supported via Webex to maintain a specific level of understanding which will be available to all operational staff.

TGIF Presentation Highlights: By Ms. Priscilla Omang—Company Secretary /Legal Adviser (CSLA) As is now the norm at the Grand Towers Head office, our TGIF workshops continued in the month of May. For this edition we’re highlighting that of the recently appointed CSLA, Ms. Priscilla Omang, who spoke on the concept of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) as it affects individuals in a Corporate environment. Her presentation captured an introduction to EQ as another way of qualifying 'human effectiveness' and in a nutshell indentified, EQ as how we manage ourselves and our ability to control our feelings. It is proven that we're more likely to get others to cooperate with our plans, if we are better able to express ourselves. All achievements involve help, support, ideas or information from other people. So, if we want their co-operation we must learn to control ourselves. She explained that while IQ (intellectual/ technical skills) and academia form part of the equation for success in life, EQ provides the bedrock for the development of competencies that determine an individual's performance. Self-control for example is about understanding the power of feelings and knowing how to access these valuable emotional tools to get accurate information about our lives. Self-control differs significantly from the emotional habits we learnt in childhood and shouldn't be confused with suppressing our feelings. By outlining its importance because it sets the stage for our ability to succeed at life, we acknowledge it. While attributes such as the ability to take initiative, the drive to achieve, to be resourceful, resilient and/or persist through challenging times are skills that anyone can learn , we know that with a combination of an average IQ and a healthy level of EQ, we have the power to succeed at what we do.
