What’s New at GCISD? Learn more at the Chamber’s Luncheon, Oct. 9 Dr. Robin Ryan, Superintendent of Grapevine-Colleyville ISD, will share about student college readiness and some of GCISD’s latest initiatives in a program called “GCISD – Always Driving Forward” at the Chamber’s upcoming Membership Luncheon, Thursday, October 9, sponsored by Northstar Bank of Texas and catered by Fish City Grill. These new and enhanced
opportunities, including the Collegiate Academy at Tarrant County College Northeast, iUniversity Prep, and STEM, that the district is providing for students are a result of the GCISD LEAD 2021 Strategic Planning. Make plans to attend the luncheon at the Grapevine Convention Center, located at 1209 S. Main St. (at the corner of Vine St. & Municipal Way). The
cost is $20 with a reservation by 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 7, or $25 after that date. There is a $5 fee for invoicing, and all reservations not canceled by 1 p.m. the Wednesday of the luncheon will be billed. Reservations can be made by contacting the Grapevine Chamber at (817) 481-1522, emailing info@ grapevinechamber.org or visiting the Chamber website’s Events Page.
How Can You Best Use Your Chamber Membership? Let Me Count the Ways… The Grapevine Chamber offers each business investor several ways to use their membership. Just by being a member, your company is listed in the annual printed Grapevine Community Directory & Referral Guide and on the Chamber website for customers to find your products or services, events and job postings. Another example of using your investment is helping to plan events like the Annual Chamber Golf Classic Tournament, October 6, where you can be on the committee to
work with and get to know other businesses. Being a sponsor of the tournament allows you to promote your business name and be at the course to meet people, or you can play in the tournament with current customers or suppliers. Volunteering the day of the tournament gives you the opportunity to be at Grapevine Golf Course, thanking all the players for participating and supporting the Chamber, while enjoying the great outdoors and still working, by using that little thing called technology!

In September, 24 of our citizens or businesses took advantage of the Leadership Grapevine program. They will spend nine days in the next nine months to get to know each other, while learning a great deal about Grapevine. They will find ways to become involved in Grapevine that they never expected or knew existed. September also saw 380 of our business members volunteering for GrapeFest, totaling more than 875 hours of work! From the Continued on page 2
