MONTHLY EVENTS & PROGRAMS

Membership Luncheon 3rd Thursday, 11:30 a.m. @ Grapevine Convention Center Each Membership Luncheon is designed to provide education, motivation and updates to Chamber members. Recent new members to the Chamber are introduced the first time they attend, and there is a “Must Be Present to Win” cash drawing at the end of each luncheon.

Economic Development Partnership Meeting 4th Wednesday, 8 a.m. @ Grapevine City Hall This monthly meeting is a partnership between Chamber member businesses and the City of Grapevine to promote the area for new business, business expansion and retention, as well as to address concerns of local businesses. At each meeting a different guest speaker shares about an upcoming project or a topic of community interest.

New Member Breakfast 1st Wednesday, Alternating Months, 8:15 a.m. Each New Member Breakfast offers new members of the Chamber the opportunity to receive an overview of the mission and goals of the organization from current members, while also providing a time for one-on-one networking with fellow new members. By Invitation Only

AMP’T - Advancing Modern Professionals for Tomorrow 3rd Monday, 11:30 a.m., Various Locations AMP’T is designed for Chamber members age 21-39 seeking to advance their career by learning from senior executives. More than just a meet and greet, attendees receive applicable advice from a senior executive willing to share their experience and answer questions.

Past Chairmen’s Council A meeting that connects the past Chairmen of the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors with current issues and activities.

JOB FAIRS

Business Insight Series One Friday a Month, 8 a.m. This series is designed for individual employees, managers or business owners who are interested in improving or developing their overall leadership skills.

CHAMBER COMMITTEES

The Grapevine Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with other local groups and organizations, hosts two job fairs each year to support the growing hiring needs of our local business community. With many of the Metroplex’s largest employers in Grapevine, these job fairs offer a great opportunity for Chamber members to find their next great employee and connect with the community.

The Women’s Division of the Grapevine Chamber was formed in 1965 with the purpose of fostering the spirit of cultural and commercial progress among the women of Grapevine, to encourage goodwill and fellowship and to enable them to cooperate with the Chamber in the advancement of the civic, industrial, commercial and educational interest of the City of Grapevine.

The Chamber’s Ambassadors are the welcoming arm of the Chamber, with members promoting their business by participating in ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings and volunteering at various events.

Legislative Council The Chamber will review any policy or legislation considered by local, state or national governments impacting our business community and find ways to secure a positive business environment. Senior Services Alliance 2nd Wednesday, 9 a.m. @ Chamber Office The Senior Services Alliance is a consortium of Chamber member businesses that provide products / services for senior adults, offering them the ability to develop a network of service providers for their clients and joint promotional opportunities.

ANNUAL EVENTS & PROGRAMS Grapevine Parade of Lights 1st Thursday in December, 7 p.m. Historic Downtown Grapevine The Chamber hosts the Annual Grapevine Parade of Lights with Grapevine-Colleyville ISD, supporting the City of Grapevine’s Christmas Capital of Texas® campaign.

Grapevine Casino Night Annually each August The Grapevine Chamber’s Past Chairmen’s Council hosts this annual fundraising event, a casual evening of casino style games, food and fun.

Grapevine Chamber Golf Classic Annually each October In a fun and relaxed atmosphere, this annual tournament offers networking opportunities with members or clients. With morning and afternoon tee times, the tournament offers a number of sponsorship opportunities for business marketing. * Volunteer Opportunity Main Street Fest & GrapeFest The Chamber hosts a Concession Trailer and Beer Booth each year at these major City of Grapevine events, providing a means of networking and advertising for members, while raising funds for the Chamber’s initiatives. * Volunteer Opportunity

Community Awards Banquet Annually each January This annual event honors deserving businesses and individuals who have provided leadership and support for the Chamber, as well as the City of Grapevine. Awards include: Don Ramey Community Spirit, Ted Willhoite Legacy Award, D. E. Box Citizen of the Year, Business Hall of Fame, Member of the Year and Women’s Division Woman of the Year. An innovative leadership development program, by the Chamber and City of Grapevine, Leadership Grapevine offers citizens and community leaders the opportunity to learn about municipal government, economic development, cultural opportunities, transportation, health and safety, and much more. For Leadership graduates, the Leadership Alumni program allows for the planning and directing of future Leadership Grapevine classes. * Volunteer Opportunity


ABOUT THE CHAMBER

Chamber Goals Stewardship - Prosperity To use visionary stewardship of the Grapevine Chamber’s assets, both financial and intellectual, to strengthen the economic prosperity of all stakeholders.

Board of Directors The Grapevine Chamber is currently operated by a Board of Directors made up of 22 member volunteers, who meet once a month. Nine serve with three year terms in three member cycles. There is also a one year appointment and five ex-officio members. The Chairmanship rotation is a three year term, so that the individuals appointed to serve as Chair-Elect, Chair and Immediate Past Chair will be able to fulfill their obligation. Bylaws & Policy Maintenance The Chamber’s Board of Directors maintains current and relevant bylaws and policies for the organization. Best Practice Visits For mutual benefit, the Grapevine Chamber, a 5-Star Accredited Chamber from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, meets with other area or regional Chambers to learn and share best practices.

Organization Structure The Grapevine Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)6 non-profit corporation which was chartered in 1952. The Chamber’s operational budget comes from the business members’ yearly investments as well as projects and special events. The mission, budget and program of work is designed by the volunteer Board of Directors made up of elected and appointed members. The board hires a CEO to maintain the day-to-day operations of the organization and staff, which is housed at the Chamber office. In 2013, the Grapevine Chamber Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, was established to assist with worthwhile, charitable activities.

Financial Review Committee The Chamber’s Board of Directors maintains the fiscal responsibility and analyzes the financial practices of the organization.

Technology & Marketing Having won numerous Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives (TCCE) Media Awards for its Social Media, website and marketing materials, the Chamber tasks itself with upholding the highest standards in technology, marketing and design in its printed and online communications.

Business After Hours Mixers Twice a Month, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. These relaxed, evening networking events introduce Chamber members to the host organization, while providing an opportunity to build a network of local contacts. Be sure to bring business cards! Business Over Coffee 1st & 3rd Tuesday, 8 a.m. This morning networking group is open to any Chamber member and meets twice a month. Each meeting has a time for spotlight speakers, as well as one-on-one networking. There is no cost to attend. Each attendee covers the cost of their meal. Business Builders 2nd & 4th Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. This lunch networking group is open to any Chamber member and meets twice a month.
