DFW Connector Project Manager

Rob Anderson to Speak at Chamber Luncheon

Vision:

March, 2013

From Community Impact News: As deputy project director for NorthGate Constructors, Rob

Anderson has overseen the Connector from its beginning in 2010. He is one of the two top directors of the project, and the one who has served as liaison with the City of Grapevine. A Keller resident, he has 23 years of experience with Kiewit Construction, one of the companies that forms NorthGate. The Connector is not his biggest job to-date. Anderson also worked on the reconstruction of Interstate-15 in Salt Lake City for the Olympics, a project that would cost around $3 billion in today’s dollars and involved 144 bridges, compared to $985 million and

39 for the Connector. The work here should be substantially complete this summer - a year ahead of schedule. Make plans to join us for the luncheon at the Grapevine Convention Center, 1209 S. Main St. in Grapevine. The cost is $20 with reservations made prior to 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, and $25 after. There is a $5 fee for invoicing. Reservations can be made by contacting the Grapevine Chamber at (817) 481-1522, emailing info@ grapevinechamber.org or visiting the Chamber website’s Events Page.

These are the major focus of the Board’s time and energy and work as a guide as plans are developed and executed. A major focus of your

Leadership team is working on the Accreditation of the Chamber. The major part of this work was done in 2012, and the application is currently under evaluation with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. We should hear the outcomes of this work this summer. Another key item for 2013 will be developing a legislative agenda where the voice of the Chamber can be heard by our elected leaders. The overall goal is to have a strong and progressive leadership and for the organization to be a leader Continued on page 2
