Grapevine Chamber = Great People Part of my duties as Chairman of the Board for the Grapev ine Chamber is writing an article for the Chamber newsletter each month. I don’t always know what to write, but I do my best. My goal is to not repeat the same things each month - like reminding you to get involved, and come to the luncheons, ribbons cuttings, Business After Hours Mixers and all the opportunities available to you each month. The Chamber is a wonderful business tool, and you should use it as much as possible to meet great people and promote your business at the same time.
So I have decided that each month I want to write about things I see going on in our Chamber business community that I think are important, and I want to recognize people and organizations for their hard work. This month I want to give a shout out to the Grapevine Ambassadors, who, every month, put in a lot of hard work promoting the Grapevine Chamber. I am not sure how many events the Chamber has each month, but you can always count on the support of the Ambassadors. However, sometimes it’s not about promoting your own business or the Chamber, but stepping up to help another local business owner and Chamber member

that might need a little help. This past month, members of the business community and several Grapevine Chamber Ambassadors, helped organize a benefit for A.J. Gillinger, owner of A.J.’s on Main. The event was to help A.J. and his family with medical costs from his recent accident, and now the Grapevine Chamber Ambassadors are planning a dinner benefit at Winewood, March 12, with proceeds going to A.J. and his family. For more information on how to get a ticket to the dinner or donate an item for the event, contact Ambassador Chair, Matt Pluta, at matt@plutainsurance.com.
