The Grapevine Chamber is proud to have Ron Holifield, CEO of Strategic Government Resources, speak at the next Grapevine Chamber Luncheon on the topic, “Shaping the Destiny of Your Community.” Mark your calendar
for Thursday, March 17, at 11:30 a.m., at the Grapevine Convention Center. The luncheon is sponsored by Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southlake and catered by So-Cal Tacos. Strategic Government Resources helps local governments recruit, assess and develop innovative thought leaders. His current clients include over 300 local governments in 41 states, training over 1,000 employees per month. Ron has also provided strategic consultation to some of the leading companies in America, including American Express, Xerox, IBM, PeopleSoft, Verizon, Aramark, Space Imaging, NASA and many more. He previously served almost two
decades in City Management with six different cities, including City Manager in Garland, and Assistant City Manager in Plano, Texas. Ron is a recognized leader in innovation and initiatives to run government using private business principles. While still active as a City Manager, “Texas Business Magazine” named DeSoto as one of the “Best Managed Cities in Texas.” Ron is a frequent speaker at conferences nationwide, speaking at over 50 events per year. His first book was jointly published by ICMA and the Alliance for Innovation, and he has contributed to numerous publications and articles. His newest book, Creating Continued on page 2

Director of Business Development, Michael Miori continues to lead our effort in programs, such as the Business Insight Series, along with other programs where he provides his leadership and organizational skills.
