Leadership Grapevine to Commence Main Street its Graduation May 19 Fest is Coming! 2015-2016 Leadership Grapevine participants: The 2015-2016 Leadership Grapevine class will have the graduation for their year-long program at the Chamber’s luncheon, Thursday, May 19, at 11:30 a.m., sponsored by Frost and catered by Bartley’s BarB-Q. During the luncheon, the class will present a Year in Review of their accomplishments. The new graduates are now able to move on to the next level of leadership and involvement in the Leadership Grapevine Program. Leadership Grapevine is a joint program by the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce and the City of Grapevine. In this innovative leadership development program, citizens and business leaders learn about municipal government, economic development and cultural opportunities within Grapevine. Make plans to attend the luncheon at the Grapevine Convention Center, located at 1209 S. Main St. (at the corner of Vine St. & Municipal Way). The cost is $25 with a reservation by 5 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, or $40 after that date. There is a $5 fee for invoicing, and all reservations not canceled by 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, will be billed.

It is that time of year again when our community comes together for the 32nd Annual Main Street Fest, b r i n g i n g o v e r 150,000 visitors to our city, May 20-22. The festival is an opportunity for our local businesses and merchants to showcase their products and services and for our civic and service organizations to raise much needed funds for their respective causes. In 2015, Main Street Fest had 25 civic and service organizations participate, and those groups raised $97,000 for their organizations. The Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau’s Festivals & Events team plans all year for our special events, and Main Street Fest is no exception. Additionally, the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce actively recruits the assistance of many of our outstanding businesses who provide volunteers, the backbone of our community and festivals.
