Your Grapevine Chamber 2024 MidYear Recap

We are halfway through 2024, if you can believe that. I feel like my parents and grandparents when I say that time seems to be moving faster. But while saying that I can also say that your Grapevine Chamber has continued to serve our businesses and community throughout these six months in ways that you know, and a few ways you may not know

Besides the Community Awards in January, the year started with the exciting news that Sam’s Club was returning to Grapevine! And this was, in at least a small part, thanks to all of the Chamber members for picking up and mailing the postcards prepared by the chamber staff, letting the Sam’s Club corporate office know that “while we love our Walmart, we missed our Sam’s!” Over 3,500 postcards were printed and distributed and we still feel a little sorry for the Sam’s employee whose desk they landed on – but we are happy to know that Sam’s will be back!

Also in the first quarter of the year, we held a membership event where several Chamber members came together to encourage their business contacts to get involved in the Grapevine Chamber From that event, we have added over 190 new members in 2024 We are happy to see many of them getting involved and networking with others We are always stronger when we can work together to build our business community – and with the next legislative session right around the corner, it is important that we have a strong voice for business

The Women’s Division of the Chamber put on another successful Great Taste of Grapevine, being held for the second year at the Grapevine Vintage Railroad Depot. They definitely have the “Chamber weather” luck as it ended up, once again, being a beautiful evening with a lot of food, fun and laughter Their efforts are important, as the funds

raised support school supply efforts and Christmas Spirit for our senior citizens

Our Grapevine Young Professionals continue to hold their monthly luncheons with topics geared towards preparing them for their future success. But at the same time, they continue their “Cause of the Quarter” efforts, raising funds for various non-profits, and doing community events such as “Feed our Kids” through Grace, and shoreline cleanup with the City

And the Grapevine Chamber Foundation also supported our business community in 2023 and 2024 by raising funds for the new Police Bikes that you see in and around town Various businesses in the community came together to donate for the need, and feel like the value of having our officers able to serve our community in various ways, is important to our future This recreation of the bike patrol was a desire of some of our local officers and we were happy to make it come to fruition

There are many more efforts being done by your fellow chamber members, and while we can’t list them all, we look forward to what we can do together to make Grapevine even better for the future. We look forward to seeing what your Chamber can accomplish!
