The Grapevine & HEB Chambers of Commerce are joining forces on July 15th to host their annual Joint Membership Luncheon at Grapevine Convention Center. This year's speaker will be DFW Airport's CEO, Sean Donohue, discussing how DFW Airport has handled the pandemic while "Surviving, Thriving & Flying". DFW Airport connects the North Texas region with nonstop service to over 200 destinations on five continents and is consistently ranked among the best large airports for customer service. DFW Airport plays an instrumental role in the region, historically producing more than $37 billion in annual economic impact and generating an average of 60,000 jobs on the airport each year. In his role as CEO, Mr. Donohue is responsible for the management, operation and strategic planning of the Airport. Mr. Donohue joined DFW International Airport in 2013, following a 28-year career in the airline industry in various executive roles with Virgin Australia Airlines and United Airlines. He serves on the executive committee of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). In addition, he serves on the board of Atmos Energy and several boards for community organizations in the Dallas Fort Worth region. Mr. Donohue graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Economics and is a native of Massachusetts. He is married and has five children. The cost of the luncheon is $25 with a reservation by 5 p.m., Tuesday, July 13, or $40 after that date. Reservations can be made by visiting the Chamber website events page, contacting us at (817) 4811522, or emailing info@grapevinechamber.org.

GRAPEVINE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE EXECUTIVE BOARD
Each month your Grapevine Chamber works to bring a diverse selection of speakers who cover various important topics. Our June luncheon speaker was Professor Jeff Willie, leadership consultant and Executive Director of the John Maxwell Leadership Team. Jeff’s message “Change Your World” was inspiring and uplifting to so many that were in attendance. If you have not had the opportunity to attend, I invite you to attend. This is not only a great time for networking but more importantly, adds value, as you get to interact with the speakers. For the remainder of 2021, we will feature several dynamic leaders in various fields of business that you won't want to miss. Our luncheons are even more fun with the generous door prizes that are provided by our Chamber businesses. This is a great way to get your business name recognized and network with other business owner/representatives that may have won your door prize. I strongly encourage each of you to take the time to attend the next luncheon and beyond. Be there to participate and network with businesses that make your Grapevine Chamber the Five Star Chamber that it is. I wish each of you a very active and healthy Summer! Yours in hospitality and service, Phil Cunningham 2021 Chairman of the Board

FULL SPEED AHEAD Wow! It’s starting to get really exciting here in the Women’s Division! We were lucky to be able to be back to luncheons for the last half of last year and all of this, now we’ve added monthly Happy Hours (really fun if you’ve missed them!), and we’re about to begin six months of full-on volunteering and events to keep everyone very busy! Our Fundraising Events: The 25th Annual Great Taste of Grapevine, Thursday, October 14th at the DFW Lakes Hilton. This is a fun evening enjoying some of our fabulous Grapevine restaurants, as well as a restaurant gift card pull, a wine pull and a couple of raffles. It also happens to be a fantastic opportunity to mingle and treat your clients to a taste of our city (ask us about vouchers). Elves on the Run 5K and Fun Run, Saturday, December 4th at Oak Grove Park on Grapevine lake. This family-friendly event is a way to put some outdoor recreation in your holiday season and visit with our Elves. Our events have helped the Women’s Division give back more than $282,000 to the children and seniors in our community—and that’s just since 2015!! Our Volunteer Opportunities: Back-to-School Fair is Saturday, August 7th. The Women’s Division will provide more than 1,500 children in GCISD with the supplies they need to begin the school year ready to learn. This is always a very rewarding event for our volunteers! Grapefest will be held the weekend of September 16-19th. This is also a fundraising opportunity for the Women’s Division, but for our members, it's a fun weekend of helping where we are needed & being social! Interviewing Grapevine seniors about their needs and holiday wish list in October. Connecting with the seniors is one of the most rewarding volunteer opportunities of the year. Holiday Angel Tree gift delivery, Saturday, December 18th. Every year, we deliver gifts and household items to approximately 100 seniors in our community. If you’ve ever participated in this, you know immediately how much your efforts are appreciated! Helping with the Great Taste and Elves on the Run. Both of these events need volunteers to get them ready ahead of time and the day of the event. Please join us! Check us out at a luncheon, a Happy Hour, or get in touch with us. The Chamber website has more information on everything we do and a sign-up link for our luncheons which are held the second Tuesday of every month. You can also email me (Sharon Smith) at sssmith33@me.com with any questions you may have. Be well and S.E.R.V.E. Sharon Smith 2021 WOMEN'S DIVISION CHAIR

Grapevine
Diana has been a member of the Grapevine Chamber for three years and an ambassador for two years. She has been active in the chamber and is an alumni of the 2020-2021 COVID-19 class of Leadership Grapevine. A Grapevine resident with one son (who recently moved to Colorado Springs with her Grand Dog and his girlfriend), Diana is an active member of several JEEP clubs, and if there is an adventure going on that’s where you will find her! With a strong background in public relations, building community connections, and networking, people who truly know Diana recognize her many gifts. She has the ability to quickly and accurately assess the needs of others. Her dedication to community has helped put a facelift on Grapevine's transitional housing operated by GRACE. She also funded a teachers recognition program in the GCISD, Irving, and Northwest school districts, acknowledging teachers helping parents and children thrive during the pandemic. Diana is a self-starter who served in the Air Force. She brings her caring heart and tenacious attitude to the community and is inspiring to others. After 13 years in the Airline Industry she found another company whose mission is HOPE “Helping Other People Every day”. She has been with US Health Advisors for three years which helps small businesses, self-employed, and families on employer plans find more affordable options for their private health insurance. If you're tired of Open Enrollment, ask about available plans guaranteed renewable to age 65!!!!
