To Our Valued Business Members:
It is my sincere hope that this newsletter finds your business doing well or on the upswing after a very challenging year. One of the goals that I have in 2021 as Chairman of your Grapevine Chamber is to reach out to as many business partners as possible to learn and understand what we can do as a Board to assist you as a business.
with both the SBDC and SCORE to provide services to our businesses at the Chamber office. SCORE currently offers appointments each Monday at the Chamber, while the SBDC is holding their appointments virtually (although they look forward to coming back in person soon). As always, both SCORE & SBDC services are complimentary. The Grapevine Chamber Directory is another great source of information whereby business partners are doing business with fellow business members. Whether receiving or selling services, networking and just meeting business owners, the directory is a great source. Recently, a Grapevine company saw my ad in the directory online and selected my company for services. Not only did I secure this business but introduced the owner to the Chamber staff and now they are one of our newest business partners.
Part of this process is hearing from you and understanding what we are doing right as well as ways that we may be able to improve. Our communication platform for 2021 is to ensure that we provide important content that you may be able to use. One aspect of this are our monthly luncheons. At our March Luncheon we will have Officer Patrick (Pat) O’Neal giving our businesses guidance Again, let’s hear from you. Marvelous March I hope everyone made it through the February Ice relatively unscathed and you’ve been able to find the resources you need to deal with any issues you did have. The Chamber has been very good about working to get people connected as much as possible. The Women’s Division has been holding our monthly luncheons in the Blankenship Center, adjacent to the Chamber offices, but that space was a victim of busted pipes and will be out of use while it is being repaired. It’s a beautiful space, and we know it will be wonderful when it’s ready. In the meantime, we would love any Chamber members to join us at our next luncheon on Tuesday, March 9th, at Cowboys Golf Club (1600 Fairway Dr, Grapevine). All information will be on the Chamber website as it is available. We are still planning to hold our two main events – Great Taste of Grapevine and Elves on the Run 5K and Fun Run – later in the year. This information will also be on the Chamber website when we know more.
Wishing you all a Marvelous March and hope to see everyone soon! Sharon Smith
