FATHER SON FIELD DAY
Calling all dads! Do you remember your favorite field day activities as a kid? Now is the time to pass down those memories to your son(s) as we prepare for Father Son Field Day! This throw-back event will include all of the traditional interactive activities to watch, play, and experience together, but with a twist! Fathers can participate with up to three sons ages 3 and up. Warm-up begins at 8:00 am and the field day begins at 8:30 am with food and water provided for all participants. Sign-up to enjoy a day outside together creating competitive memories to last you a lifetime. Tickets will be available for purchase online at GoGrapevine.com/ FatherSon. MYSTERY IN THE PARK
Join Grapevine Parks & Recreation as we partner with Grapevine Escape at the Botanical Gardens to solve the mystery of WHO DONE IT!?!? During this unique, award-winning event, you will get the opportunity to play detective and roam through the gardens to find out who the real culprit is. Each scene and clue you stumble upon will bring you only closer to uncovering the truth. There will be two plot lines you can choose from, “Fidget PI”, for families of all ages, and “Take A Chance”, recommended for ages 13 years and older. GRAPEVINE MAIN STATION AND OBSERVATION TOWER TOURS
The Grapevine Visitor Information Center offers 20-minute guided tours of Grapevine Main Station, including Harvest Hall, Peace Plaza and a ride to the top of the 12-story Grapevine Observation Tower. While visitors take in the views of Grapevine and the DFW area at the top of the Observation Tower, a guide will be on hand to describe points of interest. Each tour is limited to no more than 12 people. Times: This tour is available Monday – Sunday and is also available by request. Purchase tickets at the Visitor Information Center or online. PEACE CIRCLE
Visit Grapevine’s newest work of public art, “Peace Circle,” at Peace Plaza at Grapevine Main Station. This monumental artwork features 11 statues of 10 American Indian Chiefs and Captains and Republic of Texas President Sam Houston. This work captures a moment in time in 1843 on the Grape Vine Prairie when they came together in a spirit of peace and friendship. COTTON BELT ROUTE EXCURSION
All aboard for the Great Train Heist! Keep an eye out for greedy outlaws onboard the Cotton Belt Route to Historic Stockyards Station in Fort Worth. Join in on the fun, and help railroad detectives solve the mystery of who robbed the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. This excursion starts in Downtown Grapevine at the Cotton Belt Depot. Passengers will then ride along the rails through six different cities in Tarrant County before ending in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. Once there, riders will have the opportunity to explore the Stockyards before re-boarding to return to Grapevine. Date: Every Saturday and Sunday Location: Grapevine Vintage Railroad, 705 S.
