Tuesday 24th March to Saturday 4th April Library opening hours Herefordshire Life Through a Lens: The Photos Following a multi-venue retrospective of Derek Evans’ photographic archive across the city of Hereford, Catcher Media now brings a ‘bite-sized’ exhibition to Ledbury. Enjoy a rare chance to get up close and personal with these fantastic photographs capturing 1940s to 1970s life. Free

Wednesday 1st April : 10am to 12 noon Master's House Guided Tour The Friends of the Master's House will be hosting a detailed guided tour of this 15th century timberframe building. This incredible Grade II* listed building in the centre of Ledbury was once part of the medieval St Katherine’s Hospital. Free tickets (donations welcome)

Friday 3rd April : 11am to 12.30pm A Good Read? Readers' Group Bring along a book you have read, share your thoughts and perhaps a short snippet from the book in this friendly and informal readers’ group. Free

Saturday 4th April to Saturday 18th April Library opening hours Design A Dinosaur Egg Take part in our art competition over the school holidays. The very best entry in each category will win a fabulous Dino Lab kit! Pop in and pick up an entry form. Under 12s Free

Tuesday 7th April : 4.45pm to 5.45pm Ledbury Library Readers' Group A friendly book group held in Ledbury Library for enthusiastic readers. Read one selected title a month then meet in the library to discuss it. Books are provided. Free

Saturday 18th April : 10am to 12 noon Young Writer's Group Fun and creative writing workshops for young people, led by professional writer Sara-Jane Arbury. Advance booking is essential, visit writingwestmidlands.org to reserve a place. 8-13 years £7 per session

Tuesday 21st April : 4pm to 6pm Getto Know Your Tablet Learn the basics of how to use your tablet, including learning about apps, using the internet and how to connect to the free Wi-Fi at the library. Bring your own tablet. 16+ years Free tickets

Monday 27th April : 7pm to 9pm Should We Be Worried About Video Games? @John Masefield High School The media often claims that video games are bad for us, but what does scientific research actually say about this issue? Dr Pete Etchells is a reader in psychology and science communication at Bath Spa University. He will explore the science behind the headlines, revealing that playing, studying and living through games can show us what it means to be human. A Ledbury Library Development Group event. Tuesday 28th April : 7pm to 9pm Ledbury Poetry Salon with Philip Gross and Lesley Saunders @Ledbury Books and Maps Do you want to discover more about poetry? Have you been looking for a place to perform your own poetry? Why not come along to a Ledbury Poetry Salon, which includes an open mic and featured poets reading and chatting about their work. www.poetry-festival.co.uk £5 (on the door)

BOOK A GROUP TOUR OF THE MASTER’S HOUSE The Friends of the Master’s House welcome requests for private tours for groups of 10 or more people on Wednesdays, 10am to 3pm. Tours last 1½ hours. Email ledburylibrary@herefordshire.gov.uk to arrange a booking. All the Friends ask for is a donation that goes towards funding future heritage events in the building.

MASTER’S HOUSE GIFTS CART The Friends have a range of unique gifts for sale, such as tea towels, aprons, mugs and other small items to provide an interesting reminder of your visit to a unique building.

Your time and enthusiasm would help the present small group of volunteers (Friends of the Master’s House) to support the wide range of activities on offer. In 2008 we began the campaign for the survival of this building for community use. Join us to ensure its future!
