MILO MANARA
Artista, disegnatore e autore di fumetti di fama internazionale. Nasce nel 1945 a Ludson. Dopo aver conseguito la maturità artistica si laurea in architettura a Venezia e inizia il lavoro di disegnatore. Egli sostiene che il fumetto sia l’unico mezzo che lo appaghi nell’esercizio della sua professione. Nel 1969 esordisce disegnando il nero Genius, successivamente realizza lo Scimmiotto, famoso fumetto satirico degli anni settanta. Stringe importanti collaborazioni con case editrici e riviste italiane ed estere. La sua fortuna fu conoscere nel 1985 il grande Federico Fellini con il quale,su sua sceneggiatura, realizzerà le due storie a fumetti VIAGGIO A TULUM e IL VIAGGIO DI G. DETTO FERNET. Ciò che Manara cerca di fare è di introdurre il fumetto nell’arte attraverso la produzione di opere legate ai Grandi Maestri della pittura Italiana. Artista poliedrico e suscettibile alla contemporaneità ha disegnato illustrazioni per campagne pubblicitarie importanti, ha introdotto il fumetto in ambiti inusuali come il cinema, il teatro, internet e il mondo dei motori, realizzando opere quali il Quarantasei che vede come protagonista Valentino Rossi. Milo Manara vive e lavora a Verona.
Designer and international famous comic-strip artist. Born in 1945 in Ludson. After obtaining his artistic maturity he is awarded with success the title of architect at the Venice University. He starts writing comic-strips, the only think that makes him feel satisfied in his job. In 1969 he makes his debut drawing IL NERO GENIUS. Afterwards he draws LO SCIMMIOTTO, a very famous satiric comic-strip of the 70’s. He cooperates with numerous Italian and foreign publishing houses too. But he becomes really popular in 1985, when he meets the great Federico Fellini, with whom will produce two cartoon stories: VIAGGIO A TULUM and IL VIAGGIO DI G. DETTO FERNET. Manara’s intention is to melt art and cartoons through the work production inspired by the great Masters of the Italian painting. Versatile and susceptible artist, he has also worked on very important publicity drivers, introducing cartoons in the most unusual environments like cinema, theatre, internet and the racing world, as proved the realization of QUARANTASEI, whose lead role was assigned to Valentino Rossi. Milo Manara is living and working in Verona.

Grazie all’esclusivo metodo di lavorazione in microfusione sottovuoto, tecnica che solitamente viene utilizzata in oreficeria da sapienti mani artigiane, ed alla finitura ottenuta a bagno in argento invecchiato patinato, ogni pezzo diventa inimitabile. Ogni maniglia differisce l’una dall’altra in quei piccoli dettagli che rendono esclusivo ed unico un prodotto artigianale, che preprio per questo è numerato.
The new handle signed by Milo Manara. Thanks to the exclusive production system based on vacuum-microfusion, usually used by professional jewellery artists, and to the antique satin silver finish, each piece becomes unique. Each handle is different from the others by small details testifying the singleness and the exclusivity of a really artisanal product. That is the reason why each piece is numbered one by one.

The Tiziano Collection includes the rusticated door version. The collection is clearly inspired by elements of architectural origin. These units take their lines from historical buildings, churches and palaces. This is a recurrent source of inspiration in the history of furnishing and it gives a home the feeling of formal harmony that is typically found in the application of architectural principles. Against sweeping backgrounds, the intarsia decoration on the doors of this version of the Tiziano Collection reproduces the typical design motifs to be found on the floors of Venetian villas. This can also be seen in the high-relief Greek detail that creates a sumptuous ornamental pattern. The antique finish gives an exclusive touch to this absolutely top-of-the-range collection.
