Committee News Paint the City Blue! The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, Rochester Rotary Club, Holy Rosary Credit Union, American Legion Post 7 Women's Auxiliary and Rochester Main Street have come together to recognize the positive impact that the Rochester Police Department has on our community. Their goal is to have visual displays |throughout the City showing support for our men and women in blue including decorating public spaces with blue lights, bows, garland in order to "Paint the City Blue". The group is seeking approximately 30-40 business partners to contribute $100 each by August 10th, which will be dedicated to purchasing supplies for this effort. Any excess funds will be donated to a charity to be chosen by the men and women of the Rochester Police Department. Questions may be directed to NTPOD Committee Chair, Lisa Stanley, at 603-332-5506 or via email at admin@witwaysupply.com. For additional information, visit www.rochesternh.org/NTPOD.

AMBASSADOR CORNER Provided by Paul Gatehouse, Independence Financial Services The Chamber is all about your business’s involvement in our community; the Greater Rochester community. How do you reach out and connect to it? How do you make your products and services known to it? Advertising In local media like newspapers, radio, internet, and T.V. is certainly a start. But another part is also using the resources of the Chamber. Whether that’s an ad in the monthly newsletter, an e-blast, or being one of the sponsors at an upcoming Chamber event. Upcoming Chamber events you can help sponsor and get recognition for include the Business Expo in September, the Tree Lighting in November and (hard to believe I’m mentioning this in August!), the Holiday Parade in December. Hosting a Business After Hours is another great way to keep your business name out there. There are still openings for November. All theses events are great ways to get your name out to other businesses and customers and be recognized as supporting the Greater Rochester community. Because you never know when someone is ready to do business with you.
