Abstract Smartphones have become an essential rather than an optional gadget. With Smartphones, we carry with us a hand held computer with details about our social life, family members, transaction details and much more. Smartphones serve as a communication tool used to send messages, place and receive calls, surf the internet and play wide range of games. In this paper, we present an application that helps us to track and pin-point the current location of thousands of users by their names and photos and can track the location for a specified period of time. This system is designed by merging the concept of Google Map SDK that provides various network providers: GPS and Location Network Provider. The framework makes it possible to track the location for a specified period of time. Keywords- GPS, Android, Android Studio, Map SDK, Firebase Database, Real time Database

I. INTRODUCTION A Smartphone can perform wide scope of capacities as it has a Working framework equipped for executing different applications. We will run the service in background to get the location after every 15min and show it in the map. This is a vital part of the project that we can track multiple users providing an easy and relevant UI. The need for this project is to track the location of the surveyors, so as to know about the progress of the assigned work and track their location with respect to the given work. Surveyors are supposed to login in this application to start their tracking and the admin can locate their location after their sign in. The following of Smartphones depends on GPS satellite following framework which has been utilized via vehicles and street transport industry for a long time, for the most part in western nations. IV. CONCLUSION We are living in a world where Smartphones are carried by almost everyone and in coming years smartphones are going to outnumber the world’s total population Initially the aim of this project was to implement advanced location tracking system, obtain the live location and then track the live location for a specified time. The application is designed to manage thousands of users. The admin can click on each surveyor from the list view and can track their location of each. Due to this project, the admin can track the location of their surveyors.

V. FUTURE WORK In this project we are tracking the current location of the surveyor on daily basis and we are not storing the previos records. In future, based on project requirements we can add new features like obtaining the previous location history of the surveyors for number of days as per the requirements. We can add other features like tracking the basic properties of the users for example: the daily working hours of users (surveyors), their attendance.
