Giving Small Businesses Space to Launch & Grow

Identifying and securing a space to operate may be a challenge for small businesses, especially those that are just beginning their entrepreneurship journey. The Greater Green Bay Chamber operates two spaces designed with the amenities and programming small businesses need to grow and thrive.

The Startup Hub is both a physical space and the virtual front door to the Greater Green Bay entrepreneurial ecosystem. It offers a centralized starting point for entrepreneurs, innovators and businesses seeking resources in Greater Green Bay.

The Urban Hub is a modern co-working space and programming hub located in the heart of Downtown Green Bay.

We invite you to continue reading to learn more about the entrepreneurs and small businesses operating out of each of these spaces.

“We sponsor Wisconsin Public Radio because it is a leader in its field.”

• Nominate a GREAT Family – We bring Christmas to families facing crises, supported by toy and item donations, serving around 22 families each year.

• Giving is Golden – Nursing home residents craft scarves, hats, and more allowing them to give back. Yarn donations keep this program going.

• Giving for Old Glory – We send packages to military personnel stationed at sea with items like drink mixes and word search books.

• Inmates Helping OUT – Local inmates knit items for children in need. Yarn donations fuel this unique effort.

• Care Packages –A small surprise sent to lift spirits for those facing illness.

• Supporting Operation Christmas Child – We send shoeboxes filled with essentials to thousands of children in poverty or crisis.

As a fully volunteer-run nonprofit, we rely on financial donations to cover expenses, including rent. The Startup Hub has been an incredible support, with secure, safe facilities and helpful staff, creating a warm, communityfocused environment that’s perfect for our mission.

Good for your community and your bottom line!

How has your experience been working at Urban Hub/Startup Hub? Why do you work in that space? What keeps you coming back? We enjoy being a permanent tenant in the Urban Hub. Access to meeting rooms as well as phone booths, and the large gathering space allows us to meet with clients, host bidding events, and meet other business people that share in the space. It is important to Dimension IV that we remain on Broadway after doing so for over 20 years, so when downsizing after the pandemic the Hub was the easy choice.

Tell us about your business. At illumyx, we call ourselves the People Insights company. We are a boutique data consultancy that primarily works with companies going through the uncertainty of transitions. We’ve found a unique niche in serving coaches and consultants as we’ve found they often lack the time or expertise to conduct deep analysis and evaluating their impact in their client engagements. We help them add value to their client engagements by utilizing our science backed assessments for individuals, teams, and organizations/ culture.

How has your experience been working at Urban Hub/Startup Hub? Why do you work in that space? What keeps you coming back? We work with organizations and consultants from around the country. We also work with a lot of contractors so the Urban Hub gives us flexibility as we grow and develop our products/services. It’s also been a great way to network and get connected with new talent and new ideas in the community. The rent/fee is affordable and supports the current hybrid workmodel that fits our business needs.
