Education Greater Green Bay public school districts Ashwaubenon

The Village of Ashwaubenon is a suburban community adjacent to the City of Green Bay and in the shadow of Lambeau Field. The school district serves approximately 3,300 students in five locations.

Denmark

The Denmark School District serves approximately 1,500 students in the Village of Denmark and all or part of nine surrounding towns and villages located in Brown, Manitowoc and Kewaunee counties.

De Pere

The Unified School District of De Pere is comprised of the City of De Pere east of the Fox River, and parts of the six towns. Total district enrollment exceeds 4,500 students in six locations.

Green Bay

The Green Bay Area Public School District is the fourth largest public school district in the state, serving more than 21,000 students. With 42 schools and a variety of pathways, the district has a school or program that is a great fit for every child.

Howard-Suamico

Located in the villages of Howard and Suamico, just eight miles northwest of Green Bay, HSSD serves 6,000 students in eight schools, making it the 25th-largest school district in the state.

Luxemburg Casco

The Luxemburg-Casco School District is situated between Green Bay, Door County and Lake Michigan and serves just fewer than 2,000 students in four buildings.

Pulaski

The Pulaski Community School District encompasses 176 square miles and is located 13 miles northwest of Green Bay. The district serves more than 3,800 students in seven district locations.

The Seymour Community School District encompasses 175 square miles of land adjacent to Green Bay and Appleton. The boundary of the school district covers all or part of 12 municipalities and serves more than 2,000 students in five buildings.

West De Pere

The West De Pere School District is a rapidly growing suburban district located in De Pere. The district serves approximately 3,600 students in five buildings.

Wrightstown

Located in southern Brown County between Green Bay and Appleton, the Wrightstown School District serves almost 1,400 students in three buildings, covering portions of nine area municipalities.

The State of Wisconsin provides an income tax incentive to manufacturers to maximize their production in Wisconsin. Chief among them is the Manufacturing and Agriculture Credit that virtually eliminates the tax on income from manufacturing activity in the state. The credit amounts to 7.5% of “eligible qualified production activities income,” resulting in an effective corporate tax rate of 0.4% as of 2016. Water Drinking water Central Brown County Water Authority

De Pere, Allouez, Bellevue, Howard, Lawrence and Ledgeview are served by the Central Brown County Water Authority, which purchases treated water from Manitowoc Public Utilities and transports it to the area. The authority currently has capacity to supply up to 20 million gallons per day (MGD), with the ability to expand up to 40 MGD to accommodate growth. The authority has 11.5 million gallons of storage, allowing for improved energy conservation and emergency reserves, and 65 miles of distribution system. Each member community independently maintains and operates its own water systems and sets its own water rates. Members retain existing wells to be used as an emergency back-up supply.

Green Bay Water Utility

The Green Bay Water Utility is the Wisconsinâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s third-largest tap water supplier, with more than 100,000 customers in the City of Green Bay and thousands more in the Village of Ashwaubenon, Town of Scott, Village of Hobart and Village of Wrightstown. Raw water comes from Lake Michigan in Kewaunee, more than a mile from shore and 60 feet deep. The nonprofit uses a six-step treatment process to make the water safe to drink, and it undergoes 10,000 quality tests every year. In 2016, the Green Bay Water Utility won besttasting drinking water from the Wisconsin chapter of the American Water Works Association. Customers within City of Green Bay limits receive the water through 440 miles of pipes, paying only about one penny for three gallonsâ&#x20AC;&#x201D;the lowest price in Brown County.

NEW Water, the brand of the Green Bay Metropolitan Sewerage District

NEW Water is a water resource utility serving Northeast Wisconsin through pollution prevention, operational innovation and community outreach. NEW Water takes the water used by businesses, industries, schools and the people of the greater Green Bay area, and returns it clean to the environment. As a wholesale provider, NEW Water has 15 municipal customers and serves a 285-square-mile area. The National Association of Clean Water Agencies has lauded NEW Water with Platinum status for achieving 17 consecutive years of 100% permit compliance. In 2019, NEW Water received a Utility of the Future Award for its forward-thinking approach to utility management and resource recovery.
