THE GREATER GREEN BAY CHAMBER — Talent & education program overview A successful, vibrant community relies heavily on the supply of qualified people who can meet the current and future needs of business and industry. The talent & education team is committed to the cultivation of a culture of growth and opportunity for individuals to increase the talent available to employers. The past year was filled with countless examples of impact that will reverberate through the community for years to come.

GREATER GREEN BAY TEEN LEADERSHIP • Build emerging young leaders through experiences that prepare them to be positive change partners • 50 high school sophomores annually • 500+ alumni

LEADERSHIP GREEN BAY • Inspiring leaders to enrich our community • 45+ annual participants • 1,300+ alumni • $3.6 million in recorded volunteer hours

YOUTH APPRENTICESHIP • 150 high school juniors and seniors participate annually • State program through the DWD • Work in 16 career clusters, including manufactuing and healthcare

TALENT ATTRACTION AND RETENTION • Concierge services for out-of-market new and prospective hires • Industry-specific recruiting • Economic Development Strategic Plan diversity task force • Talent task force • Creating a brand for recruiting to the Greater Green Bay community

Partners in Education convenes leaders from business, nonprofit, K-12 and post-secondary education, to facilitate discussions and foster partnerships that lead to enhanced opportunities for all students across Northeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is to be the lead program for identifying, developing and supporting education & business to help all learners prepare for productive community life and strengthen the economic vitality of the region.

TALENT & EDUCATION SIGNATURE EVENTS The Golden Apple Awards annually celebrate excellence in teaching by honoring eight teachers or teams of teachers as well as the overarching educational community for their impact on our future workforce. Leaders Luncheon brings together community leaders and young professionals to celebrate Current Young Professionals’ programming accomplishments of the past year. Find Your Inspiration Experience is a two-day event bringing businesses, students and the community together to experience careers from area businesses in an engaging, fun format. On the field trip day, more than 3,700 8th grade students participate. Future 15 & Young Professional Awards celebrates young professionals growing and excelling in their respective fields, including 15 area YPs as the Future 15, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Next Generation Best Place to Work and Young Professional of the Year. CurrentWeek is a week-long opportunity for young professionals to explore and engage with their community by sharing ideas, fostering collaboration and making meaningful connections with other YPs. Legacy of Leadership, hosted by Leadership Green Bay, recognizes high standards of professionalism, leadership and innovation at a celebratory event at which the Leo Frigo Leadership Award and the John M. and Meredith B. Rose Business Leadership Awards are celebrated.
