ANNIVERSARIES
The Season Events
Celebrates 10 years!
Holly Lynch and Ray Harris create beautiful events and life-time experiences. The premiere event planning company in Rome and Floyd County is The Season Events. This year The Season Events celebrates 10 years in business. This dynamic duo has only been working together for three and half years, and they both agree joining Mr. Harris’ catering business with Ms. Lynch’s event business has taken the company to a whole new level. The talRay Harris, Catering Director Holly Lynch, Owner of The at The Season Events ented team of 50 employees works hard to make sure every guest Season Events. at an event has a good time and ensures the hosts/hostesses and brides are happy. Their ability to do this is predicated on a full scale catering kitchen and a highly skilled staff prepared for any situation. Ten years for the team is a great success and their goals for the future are to continue being who they are and good at what they do and grow in volume. “It’s a relief in a lot of ways to reach ten years of business,” said Owner Holly Lynch. “I’ve worried every day about my business like many other small business owners, but reaching this milestone helps you relax a little.” The mission behind the event business is to create meaningful events, and the team does this through attending to every small detail. The foundation for this starts with the employees of The Season Events. “We are all a family here,” said Ray Harris, Director of Catering. “We work to protect the culture of family, this is important for any business."
C & R Compliance
Ronnie Stamey, Co-Owner and Manager, and Clint Thacker, CoOwner and Manager of C & R Compliance, celebrate 10 years in business.
Celebrates 10 years!
Ten years ago, co-founders of C&R Compliance, Ronnie Stamey and Clint Thacker, saw a need within the safety compliance market after years of first hand experience needing consulting, training, and auditing that was reliable and OSHA compliant. After combining the industry need with previous experience, Ronnie and Clint have been able to take C&R nationwide ten years later. C&R Compliance, LLC specializes in shutdown support services, OSHA compliant consulting and training, and their trademark SAFETYMANAGER, a web-based data storage program for walking working surface inspections, machine guard inspections, confined space assessments, and lockout-tagout procedures all in real time. If you were to ask Ronnie or Clint what the main reason is behind a growing company hitting their ten year mark and forty percent annual growth rates, they both would say creating a family within the C&R employees that not only keep their word to each other but to every vendor and customer as well. “Even with the exponential growth, it’s important to us to make sure our employees and customers are taken care of, and we love that we can provide great jobs to so many people in our community,” said Clint Thacker, Co-Manager and Owner. As C&R moves forward in their tenth year, their areas of focus are to continue to be able to serve their customers better each year, maintain a family within employees, and be able to continue using the vendor relationships that have been created, especially in the Rome, GA area.
Women's Information Network
Celebrates 25 years!
Women’s Information Network (WIN) first began their mission to educate and empower women in 1991 after Sharon Baker, President and Founder of Women’s Information Network and retired Nurse Practitioner, noticed a need to educate women about their own health. As a nurse practitioner, Ms. Baker saw many women receiving mixed messages and not understanding how to navigate the world of mid-life health. Ms. Baker quickly reached out for others to help and saw an opportunity to not only educate women with the help of other medical professionals, but to gather them together and learn from one another. Now the organization has expanded and the events they host cover a plethora of topics related to women. The organization has helped women understand mid-life momentum, addiction, osteoporosis and this year there is a focus on exploitation prevention. WIN has been impacting the community of Rome and Floyd County for decades and has even been featured in Southern Living Magazine for their calendar inspired by the movie Calendar Girls. The organization is celebrating 25 years of bringing education to women and inspiring them to learn best health practices.
Sharon Baker, President and Founder of Women's Information Network.
“Even with WIN being around for 25 years, there are still so many issues for us to address with women,” said Ms. Baker. Ms. Baker and her board keep up to date with women’s issues around the country by attending conferences and educating themselves on new topics. Their determination to educate and empower women shows in the events that are held and the women’s lives they touch. To learn more about WIN visit www.infoforwomen.org. 8 | Momentum

Come Experience Wings Over North Georgia Air Show The Blue Angels Land in Rome and Floyd County
The Blue Angels at Richard B. Russell Regional Airport in Rome and Floyd County.
The crowd at Wings Over North Georgia Air Show watch as planes take off at Richard B. Russell Regional Airport.
This October planes will be flying, engines will be roaring and fans will be cheering as the Blue Angels fly in strict formation at this year's Wings Over North Georgia Air Show at Richard B. Russell Regional Airport. This year Wings Over North Georgia anticipates one of their largest crowds yet with at least 75,000 people expected to attend. The anticipated crowds represent a significant increase over the attendance for past years' shows. The main draw this year is the U.S Navy Blue Angels, a flight demonstration squadron with aviators from the Navy and the Marines. The amazing team of acrobatic flyers will bring in crowds from over 40 states and it is estimated to have a $6 million impact on the local economy in Rome and Floyd County. This year during the Air Show, Oct. 21 and 22, the Blue Angels will be joined by United States Marine Core C-130 Blue Angels “Fat Albert”, AeroShell Aerobatic Team, NY ANG C-17 Globemaster III Demo Team and more. “The Blue Angels are the headliner jet team for the show this year,” said Jim Hite, Air Show Director. The pilots, precision, formation flying, choreographed maintenance crews launching and recovering the F-18 aircraft, American patriotism, and Rome/Floyd County public relations are all part of the Blue Angels’ team. The Richard B. Russell Regional Airport has been a great home to the Wings Over North Georgia Air Show over the last five years, and the community has played a large part in the success. “We have many amazing volunteers that make this event possible,” said Tina Talton, JLC AirShow Management Assistant. “We have people ranging from age 16 to 60 volunteering throughout the weekend. They assist in providing our ultimate goal, which is for our airshow attendees to have a terrific experience.” “The Rome and Floyd community has a gem with the Richard B. Russell Regional Airport,” said Mr. Hite. It’s the perfect location for our air show, and with the additional runway length coming in 2018, we will have the ability to host more great events. October’s air show will be one of the industry’s best in 2017.

POWERING OUR COMMUNITIES
S E L E C T G E O R G I Asm
Rome/Floyd County is our home too. That’s why we’ve partnered with local chambers, development authorities and elected officials across the state to stimulate growth and invest in the future of our communities. And why, for more than 85 years, we’ve helped bring jobs and investment to the state – more than 126,000 jobs and $26.5 billion capital investment over the past decade alone.
