LIVE TO EXPLORE COLUMBUS Shellee Fisher, Owner and Lead Photographer of Shellee Fisher Photography & Design, shares why she loves the King-Lincoln District.

The King Arts Complex

“I love the old historic and vintage structures, the art, the murals and the Long Street Bridge. As a photographer, I draw on this inspiration every day in my work. I recommend my favorite jazz club, The Canabar, for a night of good music and good company. You can catch a performance at the Lincoln Theatre or a thought-provoking exhibit at The King Arts Complex. If you love buttermilk Belgian waffles, you must try What the Waffle.”

LIVE TO EXPLORE COLUMBUS Jennifer Peterson, the chief executive with Easton Town Center, shares tips on where to enjoy the outdoors there this summer. “We have fun swings set up in The Yard — an open, outdoor space for gathering — and we’ve been offering acoustic concerts called Easton Unplugged each week on the built-in stage. It’s great to see people having a drink on the patios outside of Forbidden Root, The Beeline and LemonShark, or a cup of coffee at Crimson. Many people also enjoy sitting outside on chairs or a blanket and enjoying live music.”

A perfect day in Westerville includes breakfast with my wife at Northstar Cafe, nine holes of golf with her at Medallion in the afternoon, dinner on our patio, and then a trip to Whit’s for strawberry shortcake.”
