Benefiting New Danville 

New Danville is a private community that provides affordable housing and offers a holistic approach to services to enable adults with intellectual and development disabilities to live independently. It is located on 42 acres on Shepard Hill Road, five miles northwest of Willis, Texas in beautiful historic Montgomery County. New Danville provides educational and pre-vocational training opportunities that will encourage physical activity, build interpersonal relationships, enhance social skills, and promote health & safety awareness. The most successful program is the Miniature Horse Therapy program: Participants learn to work with miniature horses and donkeys. Instructors will teach basic animal care including feeding, grooming, cleaning and maintaining stalls, pastures and work arenas. In addition to daily care, trainees will have the opportunity to participate in annual parades and other community events plus visit schools, senior groups, elder care residents and hospital patients. The Spring Gathering Horse Show will benefit New Danville’s Miniature Horse Therapy program. New Danville also welcome donations of tack, feed and other horse care related materials. For more information, go to www.newdanville.org. Thank you for helping New Danville. Best wishes to all of you for the 2010 Spring Gathering Horse Show and Grand Prix.
