Hay Auction Results for Saturday, June 28, 2014

CENTENNIAL LIVESTOCK AUCTION, FT. COLLINS, CO Tons Offered: 1366

Last Month: 709

The hay market was sharply lower. There was new hay and old hay sold. You can easily tell which was new and which was old by the prices. Keep in mind we had one plus inch of rain on the hay. It makes a lot of difference in the prices. There were several dairy and feed lot buyers at this sale. The cow/calf man is not yet ready to stock up for their winter supply. The average people only buying in small amounts due to the availability of grass in the area. Please read the representative sale. The next hay sale will be on July 26, 2014.
