STATE AND FEDERAL REPORTING Compared to last week: Slaughter lambs traded firm to 5.00 higher and feeder lambs traded 3.00 – 5.00 higher. Slaughter ewes traded mostly steady early in the sale and sharply lower as the sale progressed. Large packages of slaughter ewes were available today. Bucks were too thinly tested last week for a trend. Slaughter kids traded 5.00 – 10.00 lower.

Slaughter nannies and billies mostly steady. Trade activity was moderate on moderate buyer demand. In the sheep supply 33% slaughter lambs, 20% feeder lambs and 47% slaughter ewes and bucks. The goat supply consisted of 84% slaughter kids, 11% slaughter nannies and the balance slaughter billies and wethers. Sheep and lambs sold on a per cwt basis and goats sold on a per head basis unless otherwise noted.
