STATE AND FEDERAL REPORTING Compared to a week ago: Slaughter lambs traded mostly steady.

Feeder lambs had too light of a test to accurately trend. Slaughter ewes traded unevenly steady. In goats, slaughter kids traded 1.00 – 8.00 lower. Slaughter nannies were unevenly steady. Trade activity was good and demand was very good. In the sheep supply 34% slaughter lambs, 21% feeder lambs, 54% slaughter ewes and bucks.

The goat supply consisted of 80% slaughter kids, 19% slaughter nannies and the balance slaughter billies and wethers. Sheep and lambs sold on a per cwt basis and goats sold on a per head basis unless otherwise noted.

Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for Wednesday, December 2, 2015 • Receipts: 2714 Last Week: 0 Year Ago: NA Compared to two weeks ago, trade activity and buyer demand was moderate. The run comprised of pre-conditioned steers and heifers, a few with fall shots and weaned for 30-60 days. Feeder steers under 700 lbs traded unevenly steady with a strong undertone observed, while steers over 700 lbs had too light of a test to trend. Feeder Heifers under 600 lbs traded mostly steady to 5.00 lower while heifers over 600 lbs were unevenly steady to weak. Bred cows were all ranging from 3-6 months bred. Slaughter cows and Feeding cows traded unevenly steady. Slaughter bulls traded sharply higher. The supply consisted of 75 percent feeder steers and heifers, 2 percent Bred Cows, 11 percent slaughter cows, 10 percent feeding cows, and 1 percent slaughter bulls. The feeder supply consisted of approximately 60 percent steers and 40 percent heifers with approximately 49 percent of the run weighing over 600 lbs. The next available report for this market will be on Wednesday, December 09, 2015.
