NEXT SALE : FEB 4TH @ 10:30 AM

Wednesday, January 28, 2015 Over 325 head of slaughter cattle sold today with a positive correction from last week in all classes. Representative prices of bulls don’t reflect the actual market as the condition of today’s bulls was not equivalent to those of last. When comparing like condition, the bull market was about $3 higher. Holstein cows made gains in across the board; lean Holsteins ranged $93-100.00, fleshy Holsteins $96-105.00 with an average of $10 higher as compared to last week. Beef cows rebounded nicely, especially for lean fleshed cows in good condition who were $8-10 higher than last, ranging $91-113.00. Fleshy beef cows were not in as much demand at only $2 higher, ranging $95113.50. Highlights of today’s sale included fleshy Holsteins in excellent condition from Bellvue, lean beef cows also in excellent condition from Flasher, North Dakota and lean beef cows from Ft. Lupton. Holsteins from Milliken, Eaton and Pierce also came in and sold very well.
