Compared to a week ago: Slaughter lambs traded mostly steady to 10.00 higher, with instances of 20.00 higher. Feeder lambs traded 7.00 – 10.00 lower on a light test. Slaughter ewes and bucks traded mostly 2.00 – 5.00 higher. In the goat supply slaughter kids traded unevenly steady. Slaughter nannies/does traded mostly steady, while bucks/billies were 5.00 – 15.00 higher and wethers had no test last week to compare against. Trade activity and demand was good. In the sheep supply 31% slaughter lambs, 7% feeder lambs, 50% slaughter ewes and bucks and the remainder were bottle lambs ranging from 11-20 lbs that sold mostly at 10.00 – 13.00 per head. The goat supply consisted of 56% slaughter kids, 27% slaughter nannies/does and the balance slaughter billies and wethers.

Sheep and lambs sold on a per cwt basis and goats sold on a per head basis unless otherwise noted.
