Tours are available on second Saturdays, July through October. An architectural gem built in 1874, it served as a manned lighthouse until the 1960s. Today, only its light is maintained by the US Coast Guard. The lighthouse is located in the Hudson River just south of Athens and is visible from the Athens Riverfront Park.

Highest two-tiered cascading waterfall in NYS and one of America’s oldest tourist attractions featured in some of the most prominent books, essays, poems and paintings of the early 19th century. Posted trail signs must be obeyed and proper footwear is required.

Hudson River Skywalk Rip Van Winkle Bridge, Hudson River, Catskill 518-943-2360 Open year-round. The Hudson River Skywalk is a scenic walkway at the place where American landscape painting began. The new walkway connects the homes and studios of the major Hudson River School artists, Thomas Cole and Frederic Church, over the Hudson River and across the Rip Van Winkle Bridge, offering sweeping views of the Hudson River Valley and the Catskill Mountains. The walkway is 3 miles one way. No pets or bikes allowed.

Devil’s Path Described as the toughest and most dangerous hiking trail in the Eastern United States, the Devil’s Path is one of the most popular in the Catskill Park. Offers hikers a chance to reach the summits of 5 of the 35 Catskill High Peaks (two more are reachable by detours).

Diamond Notch The trail is primarily used for hiking from May through October with a beautiful 15-foot waterfall at approximately 1,000-foot elevation.
