The Green Lake Conservancy and the Green Lake Sanitary District are pursuing the opportunity to purchase what we all know as Camp Grow, 40 acres of land as well as 800 feet of shoreline on Big Green Lake and 1200 feet of shoreline on Spring Lake. Most of this land and shoreline is undeveloped. A significant biological corridor follows Spring Creek, the outlet of Spring Lake, where it winds through wetlands until it flows into County K estuary.
We are making our members aware of this project because we support the conservation work of our partners and because we feel that this property can uniquely aid our efforts to restore the County K estuary and Big Green Lake.
