Rise & Shine Networking Breakfast
The Gulf Breeze Area Chamber of Commerce held its monthly Rise & Shine Networking Breakfast at St. Ann Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze on July 13. GBCC was founded in 1988 and has spent over 30 years serving the Santa Rosa and Escambia communities with dedicated volunteers helping large and small businesses alike. The agenda brought Christa ilson Chairman of the Board and President/CEO Grace Carbaugh, Kevin Fussell from the FDOT, along with Jack Harrison, Frank ucker, Rod Rowell and Jessica Francis. The owner of First Dance Ballroom Studio, Margaret Takacs, started the morning by sharing some endearing moments on how her career as a dancer started and provided a wonderful short video. She sponsored the morning s breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh coffee, and many assorted pastries.
The talking point of the morning was the Project Status Update. Mr. Fussell from the FDO provided detailed insights on widening the 4. -mile project, due to be completed sometime in summer . The project will widen and improve the stretch of U.S. from a 4-lane to a -lane, along with resurfacing, new signage, and pavement markings from Bayshore Road to Portside Drive.
