Deliverables
The theme of the exhibition is ‘dialogue’ where each creative will submit a design that will be used in a blind collaboration. Contributors must be open to their submissions being manipulated through the use of print and the match making process, that will pair the two submissions together. This will create a series of screen-printed artworks that will be displayed throughout the running of the exhibition.
My concept for my Dialogue submission was to communicate that dialogue is in fact nothing without communication and vice versa.

Development
Development
As this brief was a quick turnaround brief and i had a strong concept the development of the brief was very quick. It was just a case of typesetting in the correct way, i decided i would use Zapf Dingbats as the typeface as you cant understand it and the concept was about not being able to understand dialogue without communication.

The version on the left shows “dialogue is nothing without communication” typeset in Dingbats over and over again, but i felt that this was far to cramped and didn’t have the feel i was going for. So i decided to only write the line once and increase the point size to fill the page this in turn gave a better result which can be seen on the right.

Outcomes
This is the final outcome for my dialogue submission. It reads “Dialogue is nothing without communication typeset in Dingbats to further enhance the concept of dialogue not existing without communication and when one exists without the other it is unreadable.

I think the final outcome works on both a conceptual level and also an aesthetic level. In the exhibition it was paired with the entry from The Beautiful Meme which can be seen on the right.
