Deliverables
Create an inspirational and positive vinyl decal for the studio window in Room 136 at Leeds College of Art
My concept for the window is that i wanted it to be typographic and contain some of the best quotes from the yeargroups PPP manifesto presentations.

Research
Research & Context
For the research for the studio window, i polled a few people from the class and asked them what there favourite quotes from the manifesto presentations where and this is where the i got the most appropriate quotes to use in the window.

I also looked into other vinyl window displays, the bigger and more elaborate where found in shop windows more often than not. But i wanted to stay away from something too distracting due to the environment it was going in and i think the quotes are powerful enough without them needing extra meaningless bits added on.

Development
Development
These images show the devleopment process, the quotes where chosen by a section of the class and typeset in a neutral sans-serif, Apercu. The quotes where then put into boxes to act as frames to make the full structure of the vinyl, and by doing this it naturally just separated the quotes, because without the quotes looked like floating words.

I originally planned to the window in a vertical format, but due to printing constraints and the size of vinyl available i had to rethink and go horizontally across the window, but i think this doesnt effect the outcome too much.

Window Vinyl
Outcomes
The above images show the final vinyl applied to the window in studio 136. I think the quotes chosen really add a positive vibe to an otherwise unused space and i think they reflect the course and us as students really well.

It also looks better than expected with the boxes being transparant and still being able to see the goings on outside, and even on a grey rainy day like the day the photographs where taken, the quotes still add a happy postive note, and this is essentially what the brief was.
