Brief
Concept
Deliverables
Create a digital timelapse film for the Work In Progress exhibiton at Leeds College of Art, the film is to be played in the gallery on the closing night.
I wanted to create a timelapse film showing the process of the weeks working in the gallery. I wanted it to show the evolution of the space from being a stark empty space to being a gallery full of work.

Research
Research & Context
Research for this brief is quite hard to reference on paper as it prodominetly involved looking at timelapse films on the internet, reading and watching tutorials on various photography sites.

I also had the experience of doing timelapse videos before and they are fairly straight forward the only thing to research is the different functions and working methods within Final Cut Pro the software used to edit.

Development
Development
Devlopment for this brief involved mainly editing the photographs that there was around 3000 of and importing them in groups into final cut. Once in final cut the process involved remapping the frame times and creating compound clips, then steadily importing more photographs and repeating the steps.

The aim is to remap the time so that the film plays with smooth transitions. The final bit of editing to do is to set the music track into the film and add the end cards.

Outcomes
These images are screenshots from the final film, i think the film has come out really well and delivers the concept that i set out to achieve showing the full working process of the time we all spent in the gallery.

To see the full video please look on my blog. At the closing night of the exhibition the film seemed to go down well with staff and students alike, and i felt it sat well as an accompaniment to the work that was on show.
