AllsessionroomsatIMS13willbesetupwithadigitalprojectorconnectedtoaPClaptop.To avoiddelays,weaskthatpresentationslidesbedisplayedfromtheconnectedlaptop.
Whatyouneedtodo:
1. Emailyourpresentationslidesatleastonedaybeforethedayofyourpresentationto miltonsymposium@vicu.utoronto.ca.TheslideswillbestoredinaGoogledrivefolder andcanbeaccessedbeforeyourpresentationfromthelaptopintheroom.
Pleasenameyourpresentationfileinthefollowingformat:
[lastname,firstname–panel#–titleofpresentation(shortenedifnecessary)]
And
2. BringabackupofyourpresentationslidesonaUSBdrive.
Toensureasmoothstarttoyourpresentation,pleasecometotheroomwhereyouwillbe speakingaround10minutesbeforethestartofyourpanelorroundtablesession.There,youwill beabletoopenyourslidesontheprovidedlaptopandkeepthemreadyforthestartofyour presentation.
PresentationTesting
Anyonewishingtotesttheirpresentationinadvancecancometotheirroomduringthemeal breakspriortopanelsessions(duringbreakfastand/orlunch).TherewillbeanAVperson availableoneachfloortoassistyou.
Printing
ThereisaprintroominthebasementofVictoriaCollegewheretheIMSsessionsarebeingheld. Theremaybeawaittogetyourdocumentprinteddependingontheamountofjobsinthecue. YoucanbringyourpaperonaUSBoremailitinadvanceto vicu.copy@utoronto.ca.Cash paymentonly.Printroomhoursare8amto4:30pmMondaytoFriday.Alternatively,ReflexPrint isaprintshopafiveminutewalkfromVictoriaCollege.
ComputerAccess
Therearealimitednumberofcomputersavailableforguests.Itispossibletoprintfromthese computersifyoupurchasea$5printcardfromtheCirculationDeskatthePrattLibraryat VictoriaCollege.
ChargingYourLaptoporPhone
TherearealimitednumberofwallplugsinVictoriaCollegeandtherewillbeonepowerbarin eachsessionroom(withUSBports),butyoumustbringyourownchargingcordandplug.
PARKING
Parkingclosetothevenueisavailablefor$16perdayfrom8amto7pm.Parkingspotsmaybe purchasedfromthefrontdeskatMargaretAddisonHallonafirstcome,firstservebasis.There arethreelotsavailable:
