The Grounded Solutions’ team welcomes conference attendees at the opening reception.
Scott Lommis, ED of host organization Mountainlands Community Home Trust, greets attendees.
“Intersections is an apt name for the conference. I was struck by spirit of embracing diverse voices -faith-based or secular, urban or rural, 20-something or 60-something, white or of color, government, financial industry or non-profit, etc. -- each of us coming together to try to find areas of commonality, where we can work together to create and sustain affordable housing. I loved the creative “out-of-the-box” problem solving exemplified in each of the Ignite! pitchers. That’s what I took away from the conference. Thanks.” - Annonymous 2016 Attendee
Grounded Solutions’ Board President, Robert Burns, kicks off the Opening Plenary in Park City.

On Wednesday, September 28, we hosted the second annual IGNITE! Community Pitch Fest. It was a session filled with heartfelt, inspirational five-minute descriptions of innovative ideas – new products, organizational processes, services and approaches to doing business – from conference attendees. Participants voted for their favorite idea and help award a “Voters’ Choice” prize.
Cheif Albert Naquin of the Isle de Jean Charles Tribe won IGNITE! for his use of best practices to rebuild the tribe’s community, safe from threats of global warming.
