We empower motivated students like you to pursue Truth without fear of reprisal, grow in deep-rooted community, and confidently follow your calling to glorify God and help others flourish.
High tuition costs, progressive indoctrination, and weak academics are fueling society’s declining trust in higher education. Many students and parents are rightly asking, “Should I expose myself or child to the financial and ideological risks of college when affordable job training is plentiful?” At Grove City College, we have a higher purpose for higher education.
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom
The historic and higher purpose of higher education is not just pursuing knowledge, but also seeking wisdom rooted in unshakable virtues. Historically, higher education’s aim was to produce virtuous individuals who desired to develop and serve just societies. Christian civilization added the pinnacle theological virtues of faith, hope, and love – or spiritual formation – to higher education’s character formation priority.
Professing that God is the source of one’s identity and that Jesus Christ the Creator is the source of all knowledge, a
challenging Christian college education produces wisdom, exhilarating studies, and meaningful job opportunities. Students experience joy as they commune daily with God in their studies as well as their friends following the same academic path.
In short, choosing an educational path to pursue Christian wisdom formation produces a lifelong source of joy. For 150 years, Grove City College has faithfully cultivated this higher purpose for higher education. Thus says the Lord: “Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls.” We invite you to walk the good way at Grove City College where we promise to guide you faithfully.
Our distinguished faculty come to Grove City with an inspiring passion for their fields and a commitment to investing in students’ lives as teachers and mentors in and out of the classroom. Of our 149 full-time faculty, 95% have terminal degrees from such prestigious institutions as Oxford, Cambridge, Princeton, Yale, Michigan, Virginia, Vanderbilt, Carnegie Mellon, and MIT, to name a few.
Christian scholarship is a rigorous pursuit of Truth, and the Truth requires a high academic bar. By teaching students to approach each subject with humility and discipline, we prepare you for success beyond the classroom. Our dedication to high academic standards will sharpen your skills so you can graduate equipped for the dynamic and complex world that awaits, regardless of your calling. All four of our schools within the college campus provide top-level instruction in state-of-the-art facilities.
In the Calderwood School of Arts & Letters, students learn to reason and communicate effectively. Whether you are interested in education, biblical & theological studies, filmmaking, design, or writing, each department offers a range of opportunities to work in the field, participate in research, submit work for publication, and present at conferences.
Students in the Hopeman School of Science, Engineering & Mathematics are sought after by high level companies since they work alongside faculty conducting research, learn to operate instruments used in the field, and collaborate with peers on projects spanning conservation, biochemistry, software engineering, robotics, and more.
The Winklevoss School of Business cultivates you into an influential, Christ-inspired leader of your chosen field. With a foundation built on ethics and discipline, each course will help shape you into a creative problem solver and critical thinker who has lasting impact.
The Charles Jr. & Betty Johnson School of Nursing partners with The Shaffer School of Nursing and Allied Health at Butler County Community College to educate students holistically. Using professional laboratory classrooms that emulate the real world and advanced clinical experiences, our nurses will be ready to tackle any challenge with empathy and compassion.
Because we know that you must be prepared for an increasingly complex world, our faculty are committed to providing a liberal arts education rich in Christian wisdom. Grove City College’s humanities core exposes students of all majors to the light of truth, goodness, and beauty to help them see and serve the world as God intends. Specifically, we seek to guide you to (1) know and love the Triune God (made known in Jesus Christ), (2) deeply appreciate how God’s purpose for His world provides you with your ultimate meaning and value, and (3) acquire the skills, knowledge, and wisdom to serve God with excellence.
95% OF FACULTY HOLD TERMINAL DEGREES.
The humanities core focuses on the academic pillars of literature, history, philosophy, and theology; the great works of music and art; and exploration in science and mathematics. Your mind will be liberated to know and follow truth and advance the ancient virtues that lead to a just society.

Grove City’s alumni network played a crucial role in landing my first job out of college. The way alumni went above and beyond to help me, through referrals or informational interviews, speaks highly of the lasting bond we share as Grovers. The skills, perspectives, and relationships I gained from my time at Grove City continue to be assets in my work. Knowing the value of my Grove City College education in the professional world, I want to give back to current students in the same way.
Senior Search Engine Marketing Analyst, Merkle Incorporated
The generosity and willingness our alumni show by mentoring current and former students is something that sets Grove City apart. Over the last several years, more than a dozen Grove City alumni have given me insight to make wise decisions, connected me to job and internship opportunities, and helped me find a career that I feel passionate about.
Vice President, Insurance Design and Operations, Thomas Brady and Associates
I chose Grove City because I wanted my education to be rooted in Christian values, to lay a strong foundation prior to entering the secular business world. My four years were filled with growth both spiritually and academically. My extracurricular involvement and relationships on campus, as well as guidance from the Career Services Office, gave me opportunities to network with alumni, including my current employer. I have enjoyed staying connected to the College by attending networking events and returning to campus to speak at a Career Services event. It is encouraging to be part of such a robust alumni network that works closely with Career Services to help students and alumni advance in their careers.

You will be nurtured with a deep and integrated Christian perspective to equip you as a leader with a strong faith who will contribute to the common good and the flourishing of all people. As you thrive in our deep-rooted community, you will daily witness authentic examples of Christian faithfulness in others such as your athletic coaches and resident assistants. You will be encouraged by our president outwardly sharing his faith and our distinguished faculty integrating faith and Christian wisdom in the classroom. We know the cost and long-term value of a college education can be concerning, and we are committed to dealing truthfully in our pricing and scholarship offerings (Proverbs 11:1). Specifically, we avoid the practice of exorbitantly inflating the cost of college and then offsetting it with an artificially large scholarship.
This is an intentional and deceptive marketing tactic frequently used by private colleges. Many private schools set high prices to create a perception of inflated academic value and to convince students that they are highly valued. And, importantly, this scheme enables colleges to surreptitiously transfer parents’ and students’ money to other students in order to fund their scholarship offerings.
Unfortunately, this marketing practice often diverts the student’s focus from the things that really matter in a college education: a rigorous academic program, distinguished faculty mentors who integrate faith and learning, peers who share one’s values, and remarkable employment and graduate school placement outcomes.
Grove City sets its tuition at what it actually costs to educate a student. Our initial price is low, and from there we offer financial aid and scholarships through our endowment earnings and donor gifts. We never transfer money deceptively from one student to another, and our student outcomes are among the very best in the nation. For more information, visit www.gcc.edu/truthfulpricing
Be sure to apply for Grove City College financial aid via the CSS Profile (different from the FAFSA) no later than April 15. We recommend applying for financial aid at the same time you apply for admission.
Come see our stunning campus laid out by the Olmsted Brothers who also designed Yale, Harvard Business School, Notre Dame, and Stanford. To safeguard the Christian consciences of our faculty and students, we accept no federal funding. This decision was made in response to our 1984 landmark U.S. Supreme Court case, Grove City College v. T.H. Bell, Secretary of the Department of Education. Over the years we’ve witnessed how this principled stand has positively shaped the minds and hearts of our students as they solidify their worldview and tackle today’s challenges with boldness and humility.
“As a private Christian college, we have legitimate concern about federal interference in what we teach and how we teach it.”
Former Grove City College President Dr. John Moore
