Tourism Strategic Development Plan
Description This project aims to evaluate, structure and suggest strategies in a study that is based on the development of two areas: strategic (macro) and operational (destination level). This type of project allows the designing of the best options to enhance all tourism destination potentialities through a complete diagnosis, which includes issues like tourism resources structuring, definition of strategies to stimulate tourism destinations growth and elaboration of development proposals for a destination.
Advantages The advantages of the development of such projects are: _ Clear and scientifically validated definition of the main strategic options in a period of time never less than ten years, aiming at boosting a destination _ Tourism Resource Inventory elaboration, according to a scientifically validated matrix _ Definition of the relevant tourism products in the destination _ Definition of strategies and projects in order to develop all of the destination’s tourism products _ Definition of practical proposals for the development of the destination
Scope This product includes: _ Definition of a structure and a conceptual model for the plan _ Framework based on the dimensions of the plan _ Definition and study about strategic areas of tourism activity _ Work methodology and schedule definition _ Benchmarking analysis and sectorial best practices identification _ Development of visitors’ satisfaction survey, through the use of questionnaires in order to assess their main motivations _ Presentation of a final report, with all conclusions and the destination characterization
