El Paraíso desconocido más cercano

abo Verde es un archipiélago constituido por diez islas y ocho islotes y situado al oeste de la costa africana, a 450 kms. de Senegal, en el corazón del Océano Atlántico. La localización estratégica de estas islas atlánticas en la confluencia de las rutas marítimas entre Europa, África y América, hicieron que las islas de Cabo Verde desempeñaran un papel importante para la expansión portuguesa entre los siglos XV y XVI, como escala de las rutas comerciales y el abastecimiento de navíos. Actualmente constituyen un centro marítimo y aéreo en el cual converge la mayor parte del comercio del Atlántico. La gente se caracteriza por un extraordinario optimismo y alegría de vivir. Los Caboverdianos son acogedores, apasionados por la música y por la danza y logran transmitir esta pasión a los visitantes. La población, de confesión cristiana, es joven con una media de edad que se aproxima a los 24 años mientras que la esperanza de vida sobrepasa los 70 años. Cabo Verde cuenta con cuatro aeropuertos internacionales, en las islas de Sal, San Vicente, Praia y Boa Vista facilitando acceso a los turistas que eligen como destino estas islas. De

todas, Sal es la que ofrece mejor infraestructura turística, siendo la Villa de Santa María y sus playas los lugares más visitados. Durante casi todo el año se puede practicar windsurf y kite en varios puntos de la isla. Además, Sal cuenta con más atracciones turísticas, como las salinas, la villa pesquera de Palmeira y la cueva de Buracona. La isla de Boa Vista, tercera mayor del archipiélago, sorprende con un paisaje de numerosas dunas de arena, que junto a la existencia de varios oasis de tamaras, forman un escenario típico del desierto, acompañado, a su vez, de extensas playas vírgenes. La isla de Maio pertenece al grupo de islas del sur. Sus costas están marcadas por la presencia de numerosas playas cristalinas, un paraíso aún salvaje por explorar. Presentando las mismas características geográficas que las islas de Sal y Boa Vista, por sus extensiones de dunas. En San Vicente se encuentra el puerto más importante del archipiélago, Porto Grande. Mindelo, capital cultural del país y ciudad natal de la diva Cesária Évora, una de las pioneras en divulgar la música caboverdiana internacionalmente.

San Antonio está dividida por una cordillera de intensa belleza, lugar ideal para la práctica del trekking. De vegetación alpina, cuenta con innumerables plantaciones de caña de azúcar y alambiques, donde se produce el grogue, la bebida nacional. San Nicolás cuenta con la belleza de sus paisajes montañosos. Opción típica para el ocio en San Nicolás es la pesca deportiva. Santiago, donde se encuentra la capital del país, Praia, presenta un relieve accidentado: el interior, montañoso, ofrece una vegetación exuberante mientras el litoral es generalmente abrupto con negros arrecifes y escasa vegetación. Para los amantes de la noche, Praia ofrece bares y discotecas de nivel europeo con un toque africano. Cabo Verde, tras obtener su independencia de Portugal en 1975 logró superar su carencia de recursos naturales económicamente

explotables, con una posición geoestratégica en el Atlántico Norte y una envidiable estabilidad y seguridad jurídica. Cabo Verde se ha convertido en una referencia africana en democracia, libertad de discurso y derechos civiles. Existe una confianza real en las instituciones y en el futuro del país. Se puede vislumbrar un horizonte lleno de oportunidades, de inversiones, de éxitos y de progreso. La paridad de la moneda local con el euro contribuye de forma decisiva para la estabilidad del cambio, importante en un país con un balance comercial desequilibrado, dependiente de la importación de bienes de consumo que cubran la necesidad de nuevas infraestructuras que permitirán crear las condiciones óptimas para la atracción de la inversión externa.

Desde Enero de 2008, Cabo Verde pasó a ser el primer país africano lusófono, y uno de los pocos del continente, clasificado como País de Desarrollo Medio (PDM) según la decisión del Consejo Económico y Social (ECOSOC) de las Naciones Unidas. De acuerdo con el Banco Central, éste será el año de mayor crecimiento económico de la década. Cabo Verde adquirió el estatus de miembro de la O.M.C (Organización Mundial del Comercio) en Julio de 2008, ello le permitirá proseguir su integración en la economía mundial. La buena gestión macro-económica, ligada al buen gobierno de los años pasados, permitió que el país ganara credibilidad internacional y despertara un gran interés global financiera y turisticamente. Las últimas previsiones sobre el número de turistas crecen cada año. Durante 2008 recibió más de 320.000. Hasta 2012 el archipiélago recibirá alrededor de 500.000 visitantes. La expansión y mejora de las infraestructuras aeroportuarias, portuarias y viales del país son una prioridad del gobierno de Cabo Verde. Las condiciones naturales, la proximidad de los grandes centros europeos emisores del tráfico turístico, la estabilidad política, la homogeneidad

La buena gestión macro-económica, ligada al buen gobierno permite que el país despierte un gran interés global. cultural, la seguridad y el ambiente institucional garantizan al inversor que se cumplen las reglas de libre comercio, todo esto atrae grandes inversiones turísticas al archipiélago. La integración de Cabo Verde en la economía mundial y un desarrollo del sector privado apoyado por la llegada de importantes grupos de inversión extranjeros han llevado a la necesidad de crear unas condiciones jurídicas que, no sólo ofrezcan incentivos atractivos a la inversión, sino que creen un marco de seguridad que facilite y asegure el establecimiento de dicha inversión.

La ley garantiza al inversor la transferencia de divisas al exterior en todas las cantidades a que tenga legalmente derecho como consecuencia de operaciones de inversión extranjera debidamente registradas. La mayoría de las inversiones se centran en las islas de Sal, Boa Vista, Maio y San Vicente, por el hecho de disfrutar de las mejores playas. Sin embargo, para garantizar un desarrollo duradero de la economía y de la diversificación de las áreas de inversión, se están definiendo estrategias de desarrollo del turismo rural para las islas de Santo Antao y Fogo, y del turismo comercial para la isla de Santiago.

ape Verde is an archipelago made up of ten islands and eight islets. It is situated to the west of the coast of Africa, specifically 450 kms. from Senegal, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. The strategic location of these Atlantic islands at the confluence of shipping routes between Europe, Africa and America, gave the islands of Cape Verde an important role in Portuguese expansion between the 15th and 17th centuries as a stopover on the trade routes for the provisioning of ships.The islands nowadays constitute a central point of sea and air traffic where most of the trade crossing the Atlantic converges. The people are known for their extraordinary optimism and joie de vivre. The Capeverdians are welcoming, with a passion for their music and dance, and manage to transmit this passion to their visitors. The population, of Christian confession, is young: an average age of around 24, and the life expectancy goes beyond the age of 70. Cape Verde already has four international airports, on the islands of Sal, San Vicente, Praia and Boa Vista. which means access for holidaymakers who choose these paradisiacal islands for their holiday destination. Of all the islands, Sal offers the best tourist infrastructure, with the town Villa de Santa María and its beaches being the most visited. Almost all year round it is possible to practice windsurf and kitesurfing at various points around the island. Sal has many tourist attractions, such as the salt flats, the fishing village of Palmeira and the Cave of Buracona. The island of Boa Vista, the third largest of the archipelago, offers a surprising landscape of endless sand-dunes that, together with a number of oasis of palm trees, form a typical desert landscape, at the same time accompanied by extensive virgin beaches. The island of Maio belongs to the southern group of islands. Its coastline is marked by the presence of many beaches of crystal-clear water, an unexplored wild paradise. It has the same geographical characteristics as the islands of Sal and Boa Vista, with extensive sand-dunes. In San Vicente the most important port of the archipelago is found, Porto Grande, in Mindelo, the cultural capital of the country and home town of the diva Cesária Évora, one of the pioneers in spreading the music of Cape Verde on the international scene.

With alpine vegetation, it has innumerable sugar-cane plantations and stills, where “grogue”, the national drink, is produced. San Nicolás is characterised by the beauty of its mountain scenery. A typical leisure option in San Nicolás is to go sport-fishing. Santiago, with the capital of the country, Praia, offers rugged scenery: the mountainous interior has lush vegetation, whilst the coastline is generally steep with black reefs and sparse vegetation. For lovers of night-life, Praia offers European-style bars and discotheques with an African flavour. After gaining its Independence from Portugal in 1975, much to the joy and progress of its people, Cape Verde adopted a political, social and economic attitude that managed to overcome its lack of natural resources that could be economically exploited, with a geographically strategic position in the North Atlantic, stability and legislation-based security. Cape Verde has become a reference in Africa in the aspects of democratic stability, freedom of speech and civil rights. There is genuine trust in the institutions and the future of the country. There

is a glimpse of a horizon full of opportunities, investment, success and progress. The parity of the local currency with the euro was a decisive contribution to the stability of exchange rates, so important in a country with an unbalanced trade balance, dependent on the importation of consumer durables that will cover the need for new infrastructure capable of creating the conditions that will be attractive to foreign investors. In January 2008, Cape Verde became the first Portuguese-speaking African state, and one of the few on the continent, to be classified as a Medium Developed Country (MDC) by decision of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations. According to the Central Bank, this year will see the greatest economic growth of the decade. In July 2008 Cape Verde acquired member status of the W.T.O. (World Trade Organisation), which enabled it to continue with its integration into the world economy. The forecasts for the number of tourists grow each year. During 2008 the country received more than 320,000. By 2012, the archipelago will receive some 500,000 visitors. The expansion and improvement of the infrastructure of airports, ports and roads in the country are a priority for the government of Cape Verde. The natural conditions, the proximity to large European centres for outgoing tourism, the political stability, the cultural uniformity and the cultural inclination of the people, the lack of epidemics, the security and institutional backup that for the investors are a guarantee that the rules of free trade will be respectedâ&#x20AC;Ś.all of this attracts large-scale investments in tourism to Cape Verde. The integration of Cape Verde into the world economy and the development of the private sector, backed up by the arrival of important groups of foreign investors, have led to the need to create a legal basis that not only offers attractive investment, but also provides a framework of security that will facilitate and guarantee businesses set up by foreign investors in the country.

A good macroeconomic management connected to a good government allows the country to awake a huge global interest. The law guarantees the investor the transfer of currency out of the country in any amounts to which he is legally entitled as a result of correctly registered foreign investment transactions. The majority of investment is made on the islands of Sal, Boa Vista, Maio and San Vicente, as they have the best beaches. Nevertheless, in order to guarantee a long-lasting development in the economy and diversification of the fields of investment, programmes for the development of rural tourism are being defined for the islands of Santo Antao and Fogo, and commercial tourism for the island of Santiago.

Al sur se encuentra la playa de mayor longitud (26 kilómetros) y en el norte destacan las playas de Corralejo, con sus amplias dunas de arena. La infraestructura de la isla, dadas las condiciones de viento y agua de las costas, se ha desarrollado asociada a la práctica de los deportes acuáticos, especialmente surf, windsurf, kitesurf y pesca deportiva. El clima de la isla es suave y las temperaturas se mantienen estables prácticamente todo el año, sobre unos 21 grados con unas 3.000 horas soleadas al año y pocas precipitaciones. Un eterno verano.

David Ferrer, Spain’s second best for the past three years and Juan Carlos Ferrero, who was number 1 in the world and a Roland Garros champion, signed the contract on the 15th of January that would link them with our company for the next 4 years. This mutual commitment includes their participation in a yearly tennis exhibition which will be held in the El Casco Tennis Club in Marbella. Una vez más, el GRUPO PLANIFICACIONES MUNDIALES demostró su interés en los eventos culturales organizados en la isla majorera con su participación en la IV edición del Corto Festival DUNAS de Cine y Video 2009, celebrado en mayo en tres municipios de Fuerteventura: La Oliva, Puerto del Rosario y Tuineje. El director del certamen, Miguel Ángel Díaz, destacó que el festival se consolida cada año como un referente en Canarias y se posiciona en el panorama cinematográfico nacional. María Sanz Esteve, miembro del Comité de selección, subrayó la amplitud de géneros tratados de los 280 trabajos presentados así como la diversa procedencia de los cortos. Este año el jurado del festival entregó más de 20 premios. Así mismo, el programa de esta edición incluyó la realización de cuatro cursos formativos, dos de ellos dirigidos por Koldo Zuazua y Mariel Maciá, una mesa redonda con los miembros del jurado, un encuentro de realizadores y cineastas y una exposición fotográfica centrada en los rodajes cinematográficos llevados a cabo en la isla de Fuerteventura.

Once more Planificaciones Mundiales Group showed his interest about cultural events organised on the Island of Fuerteventura by participating in the fourth edition of the Short Films DUNES Festival of Cinema and Video 2009 which took place last May in three municipalities of Fuerteventura. La Oliva, Puerto del Rosario and Tuineje. The Festival Director, Miguel Angel Diaz, emphasised that the Festival is held each year as a guideline at the level of the Canary Islands and positions itself at a national film level. María Sanz Esteve, member of the Selection Committee, stressed the amplitude of the matters dealt with from the 280 works presented, and the variety of the short films presented. Obra social Festival Internacional para la Infancia. El Aaiún. Social Project, International Children’s Festival. El Aaiún. Del 8 al 12 de abril y por segundo año consecutivo, La Liga Marroquí para la Protección de la Infancia (LMPE) bajo la presidencia de la Princesa Lalla Anima, organizó en la ciudad de El Aaiún el Festival Internacional para la infancia. Este evento tiene como objetivo la sensibilización de los niños del lugar que ocupan en la sociedad, el desarrollo de sus capacidades de integración y la cultura de la solidaridad y ayuda mutua. El GRUPO PLANIFICACIONES MUNDIALES participó en esta segunda edición, ocasión en la que se formalizó la inauguración de nuevo equipamiento para el orfanato de El Aaiún. Este espacio de acogimiento infantil protege y educa a más de 140 niños de todas las edades y desde el 11 de abril del presente año cuenta con una nueva lavandería (dotada con lavadora sistema flotante, secadora rotativa y sistema de planchado). Asistieron a dicha inauguración el más alto representante civil de la región y en representación del GRUPO PLANIFICACIONES MUNDIALES, José Antonio Newport Machín. Así mismo los asistentes realizaron la colocación oficial de la Primera Piedra de la futura biblioteca de El Aaiún.

From the 8th to the 12th of April for the second consecutive year, the Moroccan League for Child Protection (LMPE), under the presidency of Princess Lalla Anima, held the International Children’s Festival in the city of El Aaiún. The objectives of this event are to teach children about their place in society, develop their ability to integrate and create a culture of solidarity and mutual support. The Planificaciones Mundiales Group participated in this second edition, which was the formal occasion for the unveiling of new equipment for the El Aaiún orphanage.This foster home protects and educates over 140 children of all ages and from the 11th of April of this year, the orphanage has boasted new laundry equipment (with floating-system washing machine, spin-dryer and ironing system). The highest civil representative of the region and José Antonio Newport Machin, in representation of the Planificaciones Mundiales Group, were both present at the event. Those present also witnessed the official placing of the Foundation Stone of the future El Aaiún library.
