TERRAS GAUDA FAMILY IS GROWING

We have sealed a strategic alliance for the acquisition of a 25% stake in Bodegas Gargalo, which has joined the Terras Gauda Group project.

José Mª Fonseca Moretón, our president, and the designer Roberto Verino, president of the Monterrei D.O. winery, have formalized the agreement, based on their common traits: distinctiveness, pride in our land, the enhancement of noble grape varieties, and the pursuit of excellence in all processes.

We are brought together by the creation of unique wines, in harmony with our origins, guided by sustainability, and dedicated to transcending to future generations.

The Terras Gauda team, in close collaboration with Bodegas Gargalo’s, has taken over the management of all areas of activity, primarily enology, business and commercial direction, logistics, internationalization, and wine tourism, among others; led by the Group’s professionals with extensive experience in the sector.

Through green pruning, we balance the number of shoots on each plant by leaving the most suitable ones based on the vigor of each plant, which directly depends on the soil it is in. It is another tool we use to seek balance in our vineyard, which we carry out at this time of year.

MENCÍA, GODELLO AND GARNACHA TINTORERA.

These are the three grape varieties we cultivate, which shape the character of our wines. Centenary vines grow in various locations along the viticultural region of Bierzo. The origins are diverse in terms of soils, slopes, orientations, and microclimates, providing us greater differentiation.

entre

Terras Gauda y Roberto Verino
