W
e have confirmed its effectiveness in reducing times on the arrival of the freshly picked grapes from the vineyard to the winery. The robots, which integrate cameras, AI algorithms and other devices, have 4 autonomous behaviors to support work carried out by the grape harvesters, mainly in the heavier tasks: loading, carrying boxes and moving them to the facilities.
W
e want to generate a positive impact on our environment. One of the ways to achieve this goal is to reduce the environmental footprint by localized application of treatments in the vineyard and, with this project, we have opened important possibilities in the early detection and management of diseases.

Sustainability
T
wo and a half years is how long we have been working in the international cooperation project FlexiGrobots, within the framework of Horizon 2020. We have carried out the last tests in our vineyard during the harvest, for which we have deployed land robots and drones with different functions, which, they work collaboratively and are integrated into an IoT (internet of things).

sident, Angela Ribeiro, CSIC researcher specialist in UGVs, Robotics and AI at the Automation and Robotics Center from Madrid, our president, José María Fonseca Moretón, and the CEO, Enrique Costas during the last trial in our vineyard of FlexiGrobots project 5
R+D+i
D
rones, equipped with multispectral cameras and thanks to the algorithms that have been developed, facilitate the remote inspection of vines possibly affected by disease, generating risk maps. With this information, the inspection robots, using artificial vision, provide georeferenced data from specific areas of the vineyard, where the robots set up to provide treatment can then take action.
W
e gather together and record the data in the CULTIVA web application, which allows us to see and use very valuable information on a single platform. This includes information from the multispectral cameras on the drones that facilitate the real-time remote inspection of vines and bunches of grapes and monitor the work done by the robots.

We called an on-site press conference to show members of the press the advances made on the project
