Let’s begin our shopping trip from Via de’ Tornabuoni. Here you can enjoy the spectacular line-up of famous stores – top international brands, but also the most famous names in made in Italy style. Women’s fashion is the main focus, with something also for him, and enchanting win-
dow displays of children’s apparel. Pleasure for all the senses – niche fragrances delight the nose as the eyes are captivated by the scintillating displays of leading Italian and international jewellery stores. A li le tip, before you get to the small Piazza Antinori – studded with Florentine brands and historic stores – stop for a gourmet break at Caffé Giacosa, the city’s historic “drawing room”, or for a palate-tempting truffle-flavoured snack paired with a glass of fizz at Procacci. If it’s lunchtime, a bit further on, choosing Cantine a Antinori in the square of the same name has the flavour of a pleasant noblesse oblige.

Intersecting Via de’ Tornabuoni is Via della Vigna Nuova, with brands appealing to a younger public. The same goes for the delightful li le Via della Spada, also do ed with excellent traditional tra orias. In the midst of so much elegance, you might also find time for a cultural interlude. Not to be missed are major exhibitions of both ancient and contemporary art at Palazzo Strozzi (until 22 January 2023 you can admire the colourful exhibition of Olafur Eliasson, one of the most visionary artists of our time). Not far away is another small gem, Museo Marini, dedicated to a great artist of the 1900s. vetia & Bristol hotel. If you have a sweet tooth, before continuing your shopping spree, pop into Pasticceria di Iginio Massari, in the same building as the latest gem in the Collezione Starhotels. A er perusing the fashion triangle, even if you have already found what you were a er, it’s well worth going a li le further on. A er a look around Via Roma and the nearby streets for other boutiques and some of the city’s most iconic multibrand stores, we head towards Piazza della Signoria: beauty calls to beauty, and set between Palazzo Vecchio and Loggia dei Lanzi, are sophisticated Florentine and international jewellery stores.
