Best of both worlds - Education and fun! Across eleven summer weeks, Hi Hills offers a wide variety of programs for children ages 3-16. Whether you are looking for enrichment, academics, sports, fine arts or traditional camp programs, there is something for everyone at Hi Hills. For example, a camper could take a science enrichment camp in the morning and then enjoy the afternoon swimming and playing with friends in a Hi Hills half-day program. Combine academics and sports with day camp activities. Participate in an art program one week, a math clinic the next, and then back to day camp. We build our programs around the convenience of our camp families! This is a unique mix of enrichment and day camp activities not available at most camps! Hi Hills prides itself on offering flexible programs. Schedules can be customized to fit the needs of the campers and their families.

Team Members The people who are responsible for making your child’s summer are the camp team members. They provide the activities, the games, the events and all of the fun that makes camp just that: camp. A team member’s job is to motivate a child’s life in a positive manner. They need to have the will, the mindset and, most importantly, the training to do so. As ACA members, our team members are responsible for attending three days of orientation prior to the beginning of camp. Each training day focuses on a variety of topics such as safety procedures, meeting individual needs of campers while managing a group as a whole and communicating to the camp community we have developed here at Hi Hills. In congruence with our orientation topics, our team members attend a professional development day hosted by our supervisors to ensure the message of the summer and provide the team members with further details on the summer to come. The majority of our team are currently educators or studying in the field of education. This nurturing and teaching mindset already instilled in our team, combined with our team training and the Hi Hills mission, provide your campers with the best team ever.

Highlights and Experiences At Hi Hills we provide our campers with a unique experience, one that certainly provides them with the best summer ever. We offer more than just camp – we offer an experience. A camper’s experience will be filled with fun activities such as archery and swimming, but also with life and social skills such as character building. Hi Hills understands the importance of skills such as selfconfidence, work ethic and tenacity. Our #BEBETTERMOVEMENT provides campers with these life essentials daily through weekly themes and positive camaraderie followed by activity reinforcement.

Mission Statement To provide a balanced, diverse and secure community that allows children the opportunity to explore, learn and grow toward a more purposeful and meaningful life.

Core Values Respect, Diversity, Integrity, Compassion, Kindness, Leadership, Courage, Balance

#BEBETTERMOVEMENT Hi Hills’ own #BEBETTER movement is comprised of four parts.

BE YOU, BE CREATIVE, BE CHALLENGED and BE STRONG The movement allows campers to reach outside their comfort zone and strive to become more intentional and accountable in their everyday lives.

ACA Why choose an ACA-Accredited Camp? Hi Hills has been a member of the ACA (American Camp Association) for over 25 years. The American Camp Association is a community of camp professionals who, for more than 100 years, have been working together to help ensure the highest quality camp experiences for our nation’s youth. ACA accreditation means that your child’s camp cares enough to undergo a thorough (over 300 standards) review of its operation - from team member qualifications and training to emergency management. Hi Hills participates in many events and professional development opportunities throughout the year to reap the full benefit of being an ACA member. For our team member professional development days we bring in ACA members to speak on behalf of specific topics such as character building and team unity. We also attend ACA’s annual Tri-State Camp Conference, the largest gathering of camp professionals in the world, where we gather information to help better our campers’ experiences. Being an ACA-Accredited Camp helps Hi Hills stay connected and grow in the camp community.

Because of Camp... At Camp, when children make new friends, explore the world around them, and learn that “I can” is much more powerful than “I can’t,” magic happens. In an environment created just for them, children learn real life skills, develop self-esteem, and gain a sense of independence and community. Whether children are playing, exploring nature, conquering new heights, or becoming part of a camp family, they are creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Dining Service As part of Hi Hills Camps tuition, campers participating in full-day activities are offered extensive meal choices and a snack every day. Campers and counselors eat lunch together in our professionally catered, air conditioned dining hall. Campers serve themselves with choices from daily special hot lunches or cold deli and salad bars. Kinder campers are served family style by their counselors. All counselors are trained to see that the campers make nutritionally healthy choices. And yes, some food comes directly from our garden on campus! * Please be sure to notify us prior to the summer if your camper(s) have any food allergies.

Location Hi Hills is located on the beautiful 208 acre campus of Gill St. Bernard’s School on the border of Morris and Somerset Counties. These unique facilities allow Hi Hills to offer more programs, more choices, more experiences, more FUN!

Social Media Hi Hills uses a variety of social media outlets to stay connected with our camp families, campers and team members. Through Facebook, families and team members can read announcements about upcoming events or participate in questions and answers through our news feed. Instagram is a great place for our campers to view pictures from past summers and get excited for the upcoming year. Twitter is used to provide camp families and team members with links from other camps and organizations we follow that have to do with the camping world. We enjoy staying connected throughout the year with all of our camp families, campers and team members and are happy to provide these outlets that can be used by all.
