RADIOREVERB RAISES £1,000 WITH PRIDE ON AIR
RadioReverb, Brighton’s not-for-profit community radio station, raised over £1,000 during its Pride fundraiser, Pride on Air 2020, last month.
Funds raised will be split equally between the radio station and the Brighton Rainbow Fund, which gives grants to local LGBTQ+/HIV groups that deliver effective frontline services to LGBTQ+ people in the city. Ben Noble, director of RadioReverb, said: “Our presenters and listeners really stood together in support of the local LGBTQ+ community, and this money will make a huge difference to us and to local LGBTQ+ causes. Our presenters managed to tackle a lot of important issues while joyfully celebrating the LGBTQ+ community of our city. The money raised is fantastic, but beyond that we also hope we raised the profile of the Brighton Rainbow Fund and increased awareness of the need for continuing support for LGBTQ+ people in Brighton and around the world. A huge thank you from all of us at RadioReverb to our listeners and supporters.”
