Registration FAQ

What program should I register my Girl Scout for based on age level?

You should register your camper based on the grade that she will be going into in September 2023. So even if your camper is a 3rd grade Brownie in May, this summer she should be registered as a 4th grade Junior.

How do I register for Summer Camp?

Visit us online at www.campforgirls.org to view our program offerings. Click on the program that you want, and register with your gsEvents account. Or, call Customer Care at 856-795-1560 to register over the phone!

Is there a deposit required to hold my camper’s space?

Yes, there is a non-refundable $50 deposit that is required to hold your campers space until June 1st. Payments may be made at any time, but payment must be made in full by June 1st in order for your camper to come to camp.

Is the deposit refundable?

No, the $50 deposit is non-refundable for any reason.

How do cancellations or transfers work?

Cancellations requested more than 30 days of the start day of the camp week, will be refunded less the deposit. Less than 30 days before the camp week, there will be no refund without a doctor’s note.

Transfers requested to an existing reservation to make changes to a different week or session will incur a $25 transfer fee.

Can we use Financial Aid to pay for camp?

Yes! You can use our Financial Aid program, Council Cares, to pay for camp. Best practice is to pay the deposit to hold your space, then submit the request for Council Cares via email at councilcares@gscsnj.org

Is there a waitlist?

No, we will not be offering waitlists this year.

Older Girl Leadership Programs

Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Programs aim to train campers entering grades 9-12 to be effective leaders and to understand the necessary qualities and responsibilities required to be a Camp Counselor. CITs are provided with the tools they need to be leaders at camp, as well as in their community at large. Under the direction of our Leadership Staff, CITs will expand their leadership skills by shadowing counselors, taking certification courses, and participating in various activities and workshops that will prepare them for working with campers of all ages.
